The NRA's new spokes movie.

Nevermind keeping the 2nd amendment to protect ourselves from the King of England, America has a new reason to stay armed to the teeth. Zombies... that run... fast. I just got back from seeing Dawn of the Dead, and fuuuuuck beans... that movie was just flat out nutty. It makes me happy knowing that I can fight zombies with my high powered rifle. Even if they run. Ya see, these zombies don't shimmy... they don't shuffle... they don't waddle... they should have skipped more... Shit, I'm rambling. Anyhoo, definitly go see that movie. It's just as good if not better than the original. Although it is lacking the one thing that made the original so badass, and those of you who have seen the original, and than go see the new one, you'll know.

oOo:

Eames 03-20-2004 08:49 PM

Neo Nazi Hitler 03-20-2004 09:14 PM

Yeah I think I'd have the weapons, but not the ammo.

But if that does ever happen, or if there's a ww3 or something, I'm heading over to crow king's house man.. His place pwns.. He has a room, for his guns.. And man, that room is full.

yODa 03-20-2004 09:44 PM

So you can put the NRA sticker on your car.

ninty 03-21-2004 05:06 PM

Yeah. There are a couple hunting shotties in the basement. Remember shotties are the weapon of chioce for shooting sombies.

I saw DOTD today, and it was pretty good.

WidowMaker555 03-21-2004 05:10 PM

If zombies took over...
1. I would steal my neighbors Hummer or F-350
2.Reinforce the vehicle and its windows
3.Drive the vehicle to Wal-Mart OR the Hunting Goods
4.If nothing there I would go in the Air Force Base steal some guns and maybe an airplane.
5.Get a couple girls on the airplane.
6.Repopulate the earth

i dont have the 750 for life time membership, if i did i would get lifetime membership, i got my year membership for x-mas.

and for those of you wondering why its important to join the nra, its to take an active part in suporting and protecting your 2nd amendment right and making sure liberal femi-nazis like hillary clinton don't take our guns away.

Oh god, dont worry Eames, no one is trying to take your guns away, its just getting to the point where lunatics need to get background checks before they purchase firearms. Do civilians really need .50 sniper rifles and automatic weapons?

I never said you were a redneck. Just that rednecks are a dangerous minority.

I never had the 750 at one time either. I did it through a program they have where you give $25 a quarter. If you do the math you can see it took seven and a half years.

like i already said...its a political interest group devoted to protecting our 2nd amendment rights, by giving them our support we are helping their efforts to protect our 2nd amendment rights. But in addition to that its like an interest club, u get together with people who are also gun enthusiast and make new friends. Alot of the times theres get togethers at gun ranges and shit, and you get discounts and such.

Save my money for health? Is that a typo? What do you mean?

That's not true. There are people from all walks of life in the NRA.

Maple, I started contributing to the NRA when I saw a Senator on TV say that he didn't want to stop at background checks, etc. He said he wouldn't stop until he had taken all guns out of the hands of Americans, including, he said, shotguns and other hunting guns. So I belong to the NRA to help support an organization that is working to safeguard my right to own a gun. That's enough for me. If you want to know what I get, materially, for my membership. I get a monthly magazine called the American Riflemen. It contains articles ranging from tales of guns used throughout history to current political debate. Being a history buff I really like the articles about how the M1 was developed, etc. --- and like Eames said you can also get discounts on rental cars, hotels, insurance, etc but I have never made use of those benefits.

Maplegyver 03-21-2004 09:13 PM

i agree with owning a firearm but but does one really need a 50. cal sniper rifle? or a fully automatic weapon?

Full autos have been illegal since the 1930's. As for a .50 cal I'm not sure what the law is - I have seen some single shots advertised. In principle I have no problem with somebody owning one. Alot of people enjoy target shooting as a sport. I have no desire to own a .50 cal but I don't see the point in NASCAR either. To each his own. I would however love to own a Thompson (like I said full auto is illegal but you can still buy a semi-auto). That's my dream gun. Would I ever even fire it? Maybe. Once. But for the rest of eternity it would hang on my wall as a collector's item and conversation piece. Like I said, to each his own.

BTW - when I first joined the NRA I didn't own a single gun. It was just the thought that a US Senator wanted to crap on the Constitution that got me riled up. Now I own a German Luger that my Dad gave me. He had owned it since 1952. He wanted to make sure I got it instead of my sister's kid, incase he died suddenly. I also got a .30-'06 rifle when my Uncle died. Never have bought any ammo for it.

Maplegyver 03-21-2004 09:28 PM

good post.

Pick Axe 03-21-2004 10:02 PM

Complete gun bannage wouldn't work anyways. If a terrorist or crook wants to get a gun, he'll get it anyways. The only people it would hurt would be the millions of law abiding citizens that use guns for recreational activities. Also, there is the little thing about the 2nd admendment. I like guns, and I like shooting them, Do you have to be 18 to join the NRA?

Sgt>Stackem 03-23-2004 01:16 PM

My turn,

50. cals are perfectly legal to own. At last years "War Party" I shot one and had an erection all afternoon! That gun is SWEET! At 400 yards we were hitting exactly where we aimed. It is a Barrett .50 cal sniper rifle.

The NRA is a great org. I belong to it as well as a few others:

Michigan Colation of Responsible Gun Owners
Michigan Bowhunters
Michigan United Conservation Clubs
Ted Nugents United Sportsman Of America
NRA

There are the Sarah Brady types out there that would have all guns taken away from the responsible owners. This would do NOTHING to stop crime. Look at what Austrialia is going through, they had all the responsible owners turn in thier guns and crime is outta control. (I will look up the facts and post them) I understand people from other countries have a hard time figuring out why we Americans love our guns so much.

I dont think this would ever happen but have the right to overthrow our government if we (the people) see fit and you cant do that with a rock! The gun issue is a huge debate but I will add 1 more thing. In Michigan we have addopted the "shall issue" system for concelled carry permits, meaning if you dont have a record and arnt a mental patient you can get a CCW permit. This happened about 3 years ago and permits have been flying out the police depts door. NOT 1 LAW ABIDING LEGAL GUN CARRYING PERSON HAS COMMITED A SINGLE CRIME IN THAT TIME. Guns do deter crime! Join the NRA if you can, it will help America.

OK im off my soap box

Hawke 03-23-2004 01:22 PM

Most Automatic weapons are illegal. You wouldn't need much more than a pistol or even a rock to kill a "zombie" if there ever was one. Just hit the bitch upside the head with it.

Madmartagen 03-23-2004 02:35 PM

everyone knows that to kill a zombie, you have to cut its head off. wtf would a gun do with the exception of blowing its head off?

Maplegyver 03-23-2004 02:37 PM

i saw the movie last night...
noit scary at all
