Neo Nazi Hitler 05-08-2004 03:31 PM

Everyone at my school took their AP tests today. (including: euro, US history, literature... etc.)

was it 3 hours long for you as well?

Machette 05-08-2004 03:31 PM

I take both, America History and European History (Roman Empire, High Middle Ages etc) although I enjoy American History because the drama based in your history and how many wars you guys have fought in..but I really do think that my interest lies in European History..werd eek:

Marks if you're curious
American History: 75%
European History: 72%

I've had to do so much shit for both of those classes it isnt even funny, just finished my 30 Minute Seminar on the Byzantine Empire today...jesus

Zap. USMC 05-08-2004 03:33 PM

I'm taking my AP Psychology test next Tuesday... can't wait sleeping:

I'll be happy with a 3.

we're talking about ap euro and the coarse starts at the itallian renisance, we skip everything that happend prior to 1450 which sucks cause i enjoy medieval, roman, and classical history.

that being said i took the test today as well....normally i absolutly dominate these tests...i got 5's on the ap world and the ap american exams. this year however the teacher that normally teaches ap euro got diagnosed with aids or some other disease and wasnt here all year. so basicly we had a sub all year who basicly told us to do whatever the fuck we want to. We didnt open the text books once all year, and today was the first time I'd written a history essay since i took the ap american exam last year. despite this i know for a fact i passed with probably a 4, my essays were good but not great.....i mean wtf kinda dbq question is "there reaction to the poor of europe between 1450-1750" that was my only mediocre essay though, i completly dominated the other 2.....i wrote one on how dictators of the 20's and 30's were able to use technology and mass culture to their advantage, and another on the effects of nationalism on germany and austria. the multiple choice i think i did alright on, i only left about 5 blank and was fairly confident about the rest. if i get an easy grader then i might pull a 5, realisticly probably a 4 and worse case scenerio a 3.

Eames 05-08-2004 03:45 PM

anyone taking economics and goverment exams next week? cause i got those left to take....i took english thursday, that exam kicked the shit out of me, ill be lucky to get a 3. on the plus side i dont go to school on ap exam days we take them off campus and go home when we're done.

Machette 05-08-2004 03:45 PM

Damn I'm confused... oOo:

Coleman 05-08-2004 03:51 PM

yeah, i think i did pretty well on the DBQ about the poor. The other essays, I did #3 (about the rise of dictators) and #6(discuss the affect that the Industrial Revolution had on religion and culture[something like that]). I did so poorly on the mult choice, i didnt have the will power to 'try' on my last essay. For half the time I just drew a diagram of the people's names and where they were sitting int he test room biggrin: . I thought the AP US history last year was ALOT easier for some reason. Ah, Fuck AP tests...i don't have to take a final now--that's the important thing, not stupid college credit happy: .

Short Hand 05-08-2004 04:08 PM

lol i love how my art classes don't present me with these challenges. biggrin:

Yeah, I've got those two plus AP Physics B.

Madmartagen 05-08-2004 04:24 PM

AP Euro rocked back when I took it, it was simply my favorite class in high school, ever. Its the reason why I wanted to be a history teacher. I didnt take AP US history because they didnt offer it my Junior year when I had it, but im sure I would have taken it too. I got a 5 on my Euro, 4 on civics, 4 on english, and a 3 in bio oOo:

AP Euro>AP US History

TGB! 05-08-2004 07:41 PM

some of my friends take that...its not for me, i was happy as hell when i got out of honors physics last year and wasnt going to condem myself to another year of torture.

imported_Fluffy_Bunny 05-09-2004 01:12 AM

What the hell is AP?

I have a few history exams too, Tuesday= Europe & The German Question, I gotta read a few books on Hitler et al to pwn the subject though.

Next week= Early Modern England (thats the bit just after middle ages, civil war etc) & Britain since 1945...

Madmartagen 05-09-2004 01:24 AM

AP is advanced placement. they are courses you take in high school that are supposed to be at college level. You pay to take an AP exam, and if you get a high enough score, you get college credits for that course.

Old Reliable 05-09-2004 03:16 AM

maybe you should have studied harder

I ttok the AP English Literature Thursday as well, and I felt good about it. I dominated the essays, although #2 was a bit more difficult (question asked to analyze the three characters depicted and explain the relationship among them.) The #1 compare and contrast the two poems was easy, and the open-ended one should always be easy, since you can pretty much pick a literary piece that you know front and back.

I am taking AP Government next Wednesday, and I must say that I will fail with flying colors. I score in the low to mid 90's on our regular course AP Gov tests, but we took two practice AP exams, and I scored 45% on both of them, which means that everything she has taught us is not going to be on the AP Exam. Last year, only two people made a three, and the rest made ones or twos.

We also have to stay at school after our exams, but I check out, because my brain is always fried after taking one of those.

I'm definately not "in the mood" to do all that work my senior year. Plus, i'm taking organic chem too so that's 1 semester on top of the regular physics.

Vance 05-09-2004 11:18 AM

I absolutely hated Biology. mad:

I did the same essays as you. #6 was the effect of the scientific revolution on religion and philosophy. I dunno how I did. I honestly dont care as long as I pass and our teacher has a 95% student passing rate over his career so I hope I'm ok.

We didnt have AP physics in our school this year, just "advanced" physics which is THE SAME COURSE!... except for like one chapter we dont do. Its tough, but I've enjoyed it. You learn alot of useful information in it unlike lots of other classes.

niiice. I doubt i'll pass though. The whole year all I did was fool around but only did the required amount of work. If we had terms, i'd get them from someone else...that kind of thing. I got 99% in the class every marking period, it's just that i never had a real die-hard interest in Euro history. Let's hope next year's Gov't and Politics gets better
