Gas strike
a fwd i got
IT HAS BEEN CALCULATED THAT IF EVERYONE IN THE UNITED STATES DID NOT PURCHASE A DROP OF GASOLINE FOR ONE DAY AND ALL AT THE SAME TIME, THE OIL COMPANIES WOULD CHOKE ON THEIR STOCKPILES. AT THE SAME TIME IT WOULD HIT THE ENTIRE INDUSTRY WITH A NET LOSS OF OVER 4.6 BILLION DOLLARS WHICH AFFECTS THE BOTTOM LINES OF THE OIL COMPANIES. THEREFORE MAY 19TH HAS BEEN FORMALLY DECLARED “STICK IT TO THEM” DAY AND THE PEOPLE OF THIS NATION SHOULD NOT BUY A SINGLE DROP OF GASOLINE THAT DAY. THE ONLY WAY THIS CAN BE DONE IS IF YOU FORWARD THIS E-MAIL TO AS MANY PEOPLE AS YOU CAN AND AS QUICKLY AS YOU CAN TO GET THE WORD OUT. WAITING ON THIS ADMIINSTRATION TO STEP IN AND CONTROL THE PRICES IS NOT GOING TO HAPPEN. WHAT HAPPENED TO THE REDUCTION AND CONTROL IN PRICES THAT THE ARAB NATIONS PROMISED TWO WEEKS AGO? REMEMBER ONE THING, NOT ONLY IS THE PRICE OF GASOLINE GOING UP BUT AT THE SAME TIME AIRLINES ARE FORCED TO RAISE THEIR PRICES, TRUCKING COMPANIES ARE FORCED TO RAISE THEIR PRICES WHICH EFFECTS PRICES ON EVERYTHING THAT IS SHIPPED. THINGS LIKE FOOD, CLOTHING, BUILDING MATERIALS, MEDICAL SUPPLIES ETC. WHO PAYS IN THE END? WE DO! WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE. IF THEY DON’T GET THE MESSAGE AFTER ONE DAY, WE WILL DO IT AGAIN AND AGAIN. SO DO YOUR PART AND SPREAD THE WORD. FORWARD THIS EMAIL TO EVERYONE YOU KNOW. MARK YOUR CALENDARS AND MAKE MAY 19TH A DAY THAT THE CITIZENS OF THE UNITED STATES SAY “ENOUGH IS ENOUGH” |
it's also high here in Canada aswell, 89.5 cents, not just US
|
I payed $1.99 a gallon for the cheap shit on Friday. mad: Bullshit.

It was 84.5 when I drove into work today. A bargain compared to the weekend. Jeezus... annoy:
|

i dont know whats going on but im up for a strike biggrin: |

Gas strike. rolleyes:
What of the other industries that rely ON GAS to operate. They gonna go on strike to? If you dont like the gas prices, then rally and write your legislators and tell them to lobby for hybrid cars and a reduction in their prices. |
Gas oOo:
|
i just noticed it last night ... a buck 81.
|
quit whining its worse over here, 0.81 GBP = 1.43706 USD

[quote="Sgt>Stackem":e5eb5]its almost $70 to fill my van![/quote:e5eb5]
rofl...owned i spend like 15 bucks every month to every other month on gas rock: |
dude, what the fuck, gas is a necessity, so youre going to pay for it either way. if you cant afford to pay $2.40 per gallon, that you prolly can afford to pay $1.50 a gallon to drive a car. if you dont want to pay for gas, take the bus or ride a bike. it is their oil, they can charge whatever the fuck they want for it. also, a good portion of the price is tax.
"MAKE MAY 19TH A DAY THAT THE CITIZENS OF THE UNITED STATES SAY “ENOUGH IS ENOUGH” bullshit, we arent the only ones who pay for gas and its our fault we are so dependent on others for oil. |

Yes, cavs have great gas mileage. |
For some odd reason I feel like Jerry Seinfeld listening to one of Kramer's idiotic ideas.
For one thing, judging from the level of my tank and my average use, I will need to get gas soemtime between May 14 and 17; so I won't be buying gas on the 19th anyway. Secondly unless you plan to use your car less and use less gas total rather than not purchasing it on the 19th only to tank up on the 20th, this "plan" will not work Thirdly, did I mention how asinine this plan is? |
fuck...gas prices suck now.

rofl...owned i spend like 15 bucks every month to every other month on gas rock:[/quote:44404] thats nice, Im glad you drive 40 miles a month. Some of us have jobs, families and responsibilities. I could go buy some Jap crap but being from the Detroit area Ill gladly drive an American made product. (it was acatually made in Canada!) I moved my family closer to work to offset the cost of gas. My drive went from 1 hour to 5 mins. |

Japans cars are popular because they are dependable, affordable (would be even more if tarrifs were lifted), and get great gas mileage. Maybe if GM and other American cars would learn to compete with Japan instead of relying on tarrifs and 'patriotic' customers there would be less 'Jap crap.' |

Job insecurity is partly caused by a soft market. If GM wont compete by investing in better vehicles (not saying that 500 varieties of mini vans arent an investment), then its their own fault they have to lay off thousands of employees. |
Its $1.85 a Gallon here in Charlotte, North Carolina
