Another game besides Halo that is worth buying on Xbox?
http://www.gamespot.com/xbox/action/chr ... eview.html
When I saw the trailers I thought it looked good, but not that good. Oh, I know there are some good games on the Xbox, such as Knights, but the majority of action games like this are just cookie cutter pieces of shit. |
Honestly, I think Halo is mediocre.
KOTOR is the only AAA game on Xbox is my opinion. Jade Empire and Fable will be the next two. |
Ninja Gaiden. Buy it. Now.
|
Riddick = Vin Diesel = Gay
Anyways, Soul Calibur 2 for Xbox is a lot better than it on PS2 and GC. |

Yeah, I've heard nothing but good things about Ninja Gaiden. |
Get Splinter Cell 1 & 2
|
FULL SPECTRUM WARRIOR, if that is out yet. That game looks so intense

Vin Diseal is actually a good actor if you put him in the role made for him. I'll admit that XXX and Fast and Furious were beyond the limit of lame. But movies like A Man Apart he was exceptionally good. He basically had to play a guy who was extremely pissed off and he did good. Chronicles of Riddick looks good like another movie we're he has a odd attitude that doesn't require much from him, but heck that's what he's good at

kotor, splinter cell 2, morrowind GOY Edition, Halo, burnout 2. fable(coming soon), halo 2(coming soon).

Bump, because I've been playing this game all night and it is definitely one of the best games on the Xbox. The game would never look this good on the PS2, which is why I'm glad it's exclusive to the Xbox. The voice acting, hand-to-hand combat, puzzles, it's all top-notch. And I like how they got Cole Hauser from the first movie to reprise his role as the bounty hunter.
Other actors worth mentioning, Ron Pearlman (Hellboy), Xzibit (who actually does a decent job playing a pissed off security guard), and Michael Rooker (Days of Thunder, Tombstone, Mallrats) does a great job as one of the inmates at Butcher Bay. Some cool facts, the game is first person but switches to third when climbing ladders and boxes. You have different moves and combos in hand to hand combat, such as hooks and uppercuts. You can block knives with one hand and knock the person out. If a gaurd has a shotgun, you can grab it and blow his brains all over the wall. You can make alliances with certain people in the cell-block, by killing other inmates that pissed them off. This is all within the first 15 minutes. If you own an Xbox, get this game. |
I'd say PS2 has alot more quality games than Xbox though
Maybe i'll give this game you refer to a rent. |

I think Rainbow 6 is an excellent online FPS. Ninja Gaiden is the best RPG, Full Spectrum is creamable, Splinter Cell is excellent and the second just gets way better and online, and Halo is Halo..
The sports games on xbox are definately nothing to brag about but now that ea games went online with xbox live things should get more interesting with online bf:nam and ea sports. Xbox is a new system, you need to give it time to get some good games, but I still think there's tons of games that are good already. Another thing: I hate it when people bitch about the cost of xbox live. When you think about it, it's $4.16 a month. And the first year is free. The only reason they make you pay is because they are constantly improving their servers and giving the gamers a lot less lag and also different areas of online play. Like XSN(Xbox Sports Network). |
Xbox live is a multi million doller franchise alone. It predicted that it willl rake in more cash then Xbox sales themselves withing the year. Trust me that monthly fee does more then just upgrade servers prot lol. I have no complaints though . I enjoy a console game everynow and then. But I still love PC. Developers just need more confidence to bring more RPG's and console games to the PC. Once they do this Consoles will start to see more numbered days.

RPG'S suck I can;t stand them, they need kick ass FPS and really good realistic sports games (not Madden), and a few good platformers like the Jak and Dexter games along with Rachet and Clank on xbox. Then I think it will really take off.
