Medieval RTS Games
 

I wish there was a medieval strategy game where for example, instead of the defense of a man being how much damage he gets when he is hit, I wish it was how hard he is to hit, so that he could do things like block and parry, etc. That way in medieval strategy games, it is more interesting to watch, instead of just watching 2 guys smack each other upside the head until one of them dies. I also wish you could order the men to do things like to charge. Also, although a mounted soldier would have an advantage over a regular soldier, a regular soldier should still be able to take him out. And for soldiers that survive a lot of battles, their attack should slightly increase depending on their experience. The last thing that annoys me is hit points. There are no hit points in war, you get hit once or twice, your dead. Thats the way it should be in an RTS. This is my personal opinion If anyone knows any RTS games that match the following criteria, please let me know becuz I would like to check them out..

iv always rise of nations to be more realalistic. instead you get to see huge rows of musket guys shooting at each other & they take about 5 hits before any start to fall, same goes for the cannons, a direct cannon hit brings someone down about 90% & hardly damage anyone around them. I wanna see people fly trough the air screaming! I cant wait for rome: total war

not quite medieval, but Praetorians is a wicked game.

I like Age of Empires, but thats just me.

AOE/AOE 2 pwn all others.

I like age of empires, but its not very realistic.

Cossacks: European Wars is pretty sweet. You might like it. It's way more advanced than age of empires.

I want Rome: Total War

I like Lamer: Vengance of the Noob.

It's really cool how you start off as a Newbie and progress through to Ultimate Lamer. You get to ask all these pointless rhetorical questions to everyone about stuff that's right in front of you and get everyone to do the work for you on everything you want.

C and C units earn ranks from kills. The new LOTR battle for middle earth will have the emotion you want.

for hot medieval rts action look no further then aoe 2 and medieval total war....aoe2 is still the best rts game ive ever played. but if your looking for a truely indepth imersion into medieval war get medieval total war and its expansion, you will love it.

Check out Rome:total war when it comes out. I was watching some dude play it at E3 and he set a couple of hogs on fire and they ran into the oncoming infantry formation, breaking it up. biggrin:
