All they did is take a picture of the background, then run a picture of it through a projector at the same size as the background. When the image is projected onto you, you get the background. Now this doesn't really work for applications in the field yet, but this is just the beginning steps. There will be camo like this in the future.

Its real...it was posted here linked to bbc I think like last year. I remember getting all into it and did a whole school project on it... theres like a ton of all these optical cameras and projectors all over the object so that a tiny optical camera on 1 side of the object could project its image onto the projector on the exact oppisite side of the object makeing it look invisible...

i seen that before, the problem is you need all this equiptment and like 6 cameras. its pretty complicated, but the end result is that. so you can't just buy that coat that guy was wearing and expect for no one to see you.

it dosnt help all that much. you can still see him, he's not completely invisible, but it is very very usefull in the jungle or low-light i must say.

yeah, it doesn't work if you know where he is and look stright at him. but for most operations, like military, the enemy doesn't know where you are, and secondly their not expecting it so their not looking for you.
