What if someone wearing one on the street gets hit by a truck driver who simply didnt see him? Technology gets scarier every year.

I agree wholeheartedly...it's as bad as that one ring to rule them all thingy, making
these so-called "invisibility" gadgets available to kiddies is a recipe for disaster. Thank you. annoy:

Okay, if you're wearing a fucking invisibility cloak, would you jump in the middle of the street at all? Anybody who hops into traffic with an invisible jacket on deserves to die.

Wonderful, more crap that will get into the military and take the skill and honor out of war, it's bad enough with stealth and smart weapons that pilots don't have to be better than enemy pilots anymore annoy:

What if he is crossing an uncontrolled intersection? Also, what if unscrupulous people use these jackets for crime? Terrorists walking into a building with C4 tucked into an invisible cloak? The same thing applies to cloning. How are detectives and DAs going to prosecute the accused if DNA evidence is questionable??

might as well retire the Medal of Honor then,
if warfare becomes any more push-button there will be no heroes, or cowards, only the multitude of dead the lucky ones left alive. Just like Patton, I prefer to be dead beofre this comes about.

Furthermore, with no need for superior training the idiots in charge may just decide to substitute technology for training, then our military will become nothing more than Star Wars style stormtroopers who are 100% dependant on technology and lack any personal initiative.

Madmartagen 06-15-2004 11:32 PM
