More police brutality in LA?

http://www.cnn.com/2004/US/West/06/23/p ... index.html

Arkan 06-24-2004 09:09 PM

Absolutely not. If i were there, i'd kick him too !

People in other countries lose limbs because of their crimes, it's about time we follow suit.

Khaaaaaaan 06-24-2004 09:11 PM

no they should've killed him

guarnere 06-24-2004 09:11 PM

He deserved it. He endangered many lives by being a stupid asshole. Cops win.

Eight Ace 06-24-2004 09:48 PM

...straight outta Compton! annoy:

06-24-2004 10:00 PM

no, he surrendered.
If he ran or struggled I'd say blast him, but he didn't

if anything then the victim of the crime should decide if the guy deserves a beatdown or not

Zap. USMC 06-24-2004 10:47 PM

fuck that, that SOB deserved a good beating... can't believe this bullshit about "police brutality".

ankle_bert 06-24-2004 10:48 PM

what are you gonna do about it?

MrLevinstein 06-24-2004 11:19 PM

Not at all, if youve got the balls to steal a car, endanger lives and then decide you want to go "quietly" you ought to have your face punched a few times.

Duke_of_Ray 06-25-2004 12:13 AM

Man I hate the media. The Cops where doing their job, more people need this to happen to them. Maybe a few good beatings would help stop some crime. AHHHH STUPID MEDIA!!!!!!!!!!! annoy:

[quote:9064c]The suspect appeared to raise both arms and drop to his knees. The first arriving officer drew his weapon, but put it back in his holster and then tackled the suspect, forcing him to the ground.

The second officer also jumps on the suspect, who is on the ground in a prone position, while a third officer arrives and appears to kick him in the head. This same officer then drops to the ground, takes out his flashlight and beats the suspect 11 times about the head area and also appears to use his knee to strike the suspect.[/quote:9064c]

Madmartagen 06-25-2004 02:38 AM

Suspect gave up, end of story. Cops dont get to toss in some kicks, punches and blunt hits because they think he deserves it. This isnt some hippie case either, they broke their own rules as well as whatever the DA decides to go with. This guy will get his day in court; he'll go to jail because he did what he did, but now he might get off because these idiots decided to 'give him what he deserves.' Cops like this endanger their own lives and make it harder for others to do their jobs. Alot of you guys need to look at the bigger picture here, there is no such thing as vigilante justice.

KTOG 06-25-2004 06:13 AM

Once again this proves my point that aa.com is full of Conservative White Trash...and Germans love David Hasselhoff.

MrLevinstein 06-25-2004 08:16 AM

I like all those intellegent theories, like if you believe that if a guy robbed a store and shot a woman, if the cops hit him once after he gave up, you are a facist white male that wished that the jews were erradicated during WWII and that hitler ruled the world.

Gimme a break ktog, there isnt one peice of white trash left on this board now that eames and redneck are gone oOo:

TGB! 06-25-2004 09:42 AM

Watch the fucking video. He DIDNT shoot a woman, he hijacked a car and drove it down an UNOCCUPIED city street. He ran. He turns, puts his hands in the air. As he is getting to his knees the first cop POUNCES on him. Thats fine. A second cop joins and restrains him. Then the THIRD cop runs up to the suspect with a full head of steam and kicks him in the face. He then proceddes to beat the man with his flashlight. Using the flashlight is not a new technique, its used all the time in place of the stick.

Deserved it? Gimme a fucking break. The guy deserved jusitce not fucking vengeance.

He will like his rodney king size check im sure. LA cops are fucking dumb to say the least.

06-25-2004 07:06 PM

CNN said that the guy "suffered no serious injury"; must have one hell of a tough skull to take hits like that with no serious injury ed:

Snuff 06-25-2004 07:28 PM

Shouldn't be jacking cars... Fuck him, he deserves to get the shit kicked out of him

that's not the point, I'm all for corporal punishment, provided that there is a trial first. It says so in our Constitution and frankly the field officers don't have the authority or know the "big picture" well enough to convict on the spot.

I've read about an incident where a guy left his wallet on the roof of his car on accident and drove off, some moron thought he was stealing the car (God knows why oOo: ) and called the cops. Good thing they had the sense to ask for license and registration rather than beating him up first and asking questions later.

Maybe in this case he was caught red handed, but in the future the abuse-happy LA cops could beat up a guy like the wallet incident guy; what would you say if that happened to you?
(waits for the guys that support authority no matter what it does to say "you shouldn't have left your wallet", etc.)

Believe me, it was like that in the 60's & 70's. The cops didn't fuck around back then and you'd get your ass handed to you by some 6'3" guy with a fat moustache weilding a baton around. Then after he dragged your ass home, your Father would take over where the cop left off. Today, society is made up of a bunch of liberal pussies. Fuck that criminal, give him the fucking boots !!

my thoughts exactly

06-25-2004 10:09 PM

sometimes I think you guys would enjoy if the Constitution was abandoned and we had a police state (preferrably with W. as dictator)

And gosh darn it we had segregation, and all kinds of civil rights violations, and crooked cops sending innocent men to jail - oh hell what a fun damn time it was!! Who needs due process, exploratory periods, evidence or any such nonsense. By god the police ARE the law!

ninty 06-25-2004 10:33 PM

It doesn't matter if the guy deserved it or not. It's not the police's place to beat someone. They are there to apprehend the person using the simplest and non violent ways possible. Sometimes this is not the case, where violence etc. comes to the forefront, and that is acceptable, but it's not the cops job to deal out punishment.

It doesn't matter how it was in the olden days, or in other countries. Western countries pride themselvas on human rights. Kids used to get lashings in school, we don't do that anymore. Women wern't able to vote at a time. Just because it was done previously, doens't make it right.

Pyro 06-25-2004 10:46 PM

Well if it was Canada i'd say good for the cops. The criminals need some punishment...cuz once they go to court or something they will get off with a slap on the wrist.

Not only that, but what if the cops beat one guy up real bad, and then don't even harm another guy comitting the same crime or worse....You can't just have police beating up anyone....
