Swords & knives & shyt

Post pics of your favourite swords & stuff, I'm not really into knives & only own a pocket knife. But I do find some of their designs rather beautiful.

Maplegyver 06-30-2004 01:56 PM

I remember reading about the Gurkhas in Burma & they used to decapitate the japs with their khukris, one time a brit commander recieved a basket full of jap heads eek: . In Borneo we kept getting into trouble for violating the geneva convention kus they were decapitating the POWS too.

One of their most recent exercises in Oman they were told to take a position held by the Royal Lancers, they threw down their sa80s & charged the position & in a flash they had the guys down w/ knives at their throats. stupid: oOo: ed:

Well, it works, now doesnt it? biggrin:

imported_Fluffy_Bunny 06-30-2004 02:14 PM

The sa80? I hope so...

[quote:64f88]In fact, just last week a war game took place in the heart of the Omani desert. The objective was a two-man post held by the Lancers, an armored infantry unit. One-hundred yards away, a platoon of elite special forces dismounted from personnel carriers and charged the post. The first four soldiers to reach the Lancers threw their SA80 rifles to the ground, whipped out curved, razor-sharp short-swords for hand-to-hand combat, jumped into the nest, and simulated slitting the Lancers' throats. Observers on the sidelines were rendered speechless. [/quote:64f88]

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/545879/posts

[quote:64f88]One rifleman told a reporter from The Mirror, "The attack on America was very sad and many lives were lost. It was terrible to watch on television. So I would love to go to Afghanistan to fight." He went on to say, "From what I have read, the Taliban are bad people, so the fight would be very just. I would even ask to go first." A British officer said, "for them, it is like playing in the World Cup." [/quote:64f88]

knives aren't always for hurting people, you wouldn't beleive al the times you end up needing the thing, whether it be for cutting a fresh apple up or some on and so fourth.it just comes in handy. + the one showed above is small enough so it doesn't scare the shit out of people when you use it in public.
