My bicycle got stolen!! ^%^$%#*&@
Well, my friend's bike it was actually, not mine. But still, it pisses me off. Some fucker stole my friend's bike, and my friend paid for that bike. It was her only form of transport through downtown. So now, I'm sending out e-mails to all my friends about the bike's description, hoping that they can find it. I'm going to post up flyers and missing ads in the classifieds, but I highly doubt ever seeing the bike again. Just today, I was driving around certain areas of the city searching for a needle in a haystack.
Bike theives piss me off. Does anyone have any tips on locating a stolen bike? Or how about tips on preventing the bike from getting stolen in the first place? No jackass replies please, I really want to find that bike. |

yes with precious butter. |
Depending on where you live, bike thievery may be more common than you'd imagine. In some cities they keep a literal warehouse full of recovered stolen bikes. You can file a police report and check with them periodically.
Short of that, I had a buddy who had some hook-up or custom pedals - one of the two or both - where he could just unsnap the pedals and take them right off the bike to toss into his backpack. Seems like a pretty good deterrent to me, since most bike thieves are dumb enough to ride the bike away. |
