Moving on, it's time to rent game servers. Those who applied for server admin please pay extra attention:

Here's what I am thinking:

2 servers for MoH: X - 1 in America, 1 Europe

1 servers for BF1942 - 1 in America

3 servers for CoD - 1 East, 1 West, 1 Europe

1 server for AA - 1 in America (I don't think Eurpoeans play this much?)

I don't know about vietcong yet, <a href=http://archive.gamespy.com/stats/>not that many people play it</a> anyway. Am I forgetting any?

So for now, 7 servers.

Someone referred me to <a href=http://www.escapedturkey.com>E.Turkey</a>, an unmanaged cheap host. Since I'm not a millionaire, (more like a hundredaire, bearly), and have to pay for game + web servers, if possible I'd go with a cheaper host, but if the servers are shitty then I am not willing to put gf1.com on it.

I randomly picked a few IP from servers on E.Turkey below, no matter where u r, please ping (don't long ping okay) the following and give me your location and result.

Now latency is one thing, over-hosting is another. The first two are supposed to be MoH servers, if you still have MoH you're welcomed to log onto the above two, shoot a few noobs and and tell me what you think.

Also if you know of a good host, either by words of mouth, or one you've experience with, please let us know.

Avergae ping was 73, but i asked and alot of west coasters get pings ranging from 18 to 43. Central's get 60's and east coasters get any where from 70 to 135. Not bad good for the price etc. I do beleive that they offer Bundle deals BS, like for 80 bucks they give you lots of servers so when you buy in bulk you save etc. My clan uses these things right now and its dependable etc. Any server when holding around 24 players though the general pings level will rise a bit. So as far as I see it this is a safe bet.

I have an ET BFV server IP 67.15.21.116:15567 and had no problems with it. We also had a CoD server with them and it ran fine. But they're MoHAA servers from ET SUCKED.

I would recommend NRGservers. NRGservers arent bad, i have one for CS. sometimes during server maintenance hours, the pings can spike pretty bad, but thats rare.

that is the shittiest texas server i have ever pinged. I can usually manage 90-100 on texas servers, but 120 is ridiculous

If your renting that many servers, just rent a box or two

AAN does this (im pretty sure) and it runs all the servers there fine, with room for more.

A dedicated machine is what I'm looking at too, matter of fact this website is hosted on one; problem is the bandwidth volume - say I host two to three 24-players slot servers on one machine, the bandwidth per month is going to be over the 400gb limit that I currently have - and I think our game servers are going to be very busy.
