What do u think of this system?
ProcessorAMD athlon 64 3400 2.2GHz
OS-Windows XP home edition Memory-1GB DDR/PC3200 HD-160GB 7200rpm CD Drive-8x DVD + RW/+R drive(DVD writer+CD writer combo) Graphics Card-Radeon 9800 256mb Sound Card-Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS Monitor-15" flat panel Speakers-Altec Lansing VS 2121 2.1 speakers This is on HewlettPackard's site. Came to around 1500 with mail in rebate. I went to a custom guy in Queens who came up with a similar system except that it came with a 120 GB hd, Radeon 9800 128mb, 17" CRT monitor, and speakers werent as good and it came to between 1600-1700. I figured the custom guy would be cheaper but he wasnt. Do u think it would just be better to spend the extra 100 and buy from guy cause im not to sure about HewlettPackard. Anyone ever buy from them or have any friends that have bought from them? |
i got a 9800 that i got for $50
|
fucken noobs. im like wtf youy know nothing so i have triple the work plus i have to cash up. im like fuck this. and there like what does fuck mean as they cant speak english. motherfucks
|
ummm what? Does anybody having to say that answers the questions.
|
looks good to me. Is the DVD writer a duel layer burner?
|
umm i believe so but im not sure.
|
Good deal.
Make sure to overclock your 9800 to an XT. |

The only thing i don't like about it is:
Video card: New box should come with the newest Radeon X800 card 15" flatscreen: Get a 21" CRT for slightly more $$$ Speakers: Give them to your sister and buy yourself either 4.1 or 5.1 surround sound. Other than that, the system is pretty good and should serve well for a few yrs. |

HP sucks nice system tho, just buy those parts on newegg... take em to local "jo schmo" pc shop and have them build it for 100 bucks, if you cant do so yourself youll save $$ and wont get ugly HP case |
only thing that sucks is that HP dvd writers are only the + format...so if they ever decide on a standard and its - you my friend are fucked in the ass with a dull butterknife

The thing about buying from newegg... first i dont know exactly what parts to buy. Ive never built a computer before and i wouldnt know what parts to buy or where to begin. Also im afraid that parts my be damaged when i get them.

Is there alot of difference between the 9800 pro and the 9800XT?
