Land of the Dead
George Romero Set for Land of the Dead
Click here[/url:21a55] Cant wait for this! [quote:21a55]Set many years after 'Day of the Dead', society has returned to life in a new way. The zombies are rotting away into irrelevance & now disregarded much like the way homeless people are today, as the human survivors live in a fortified city, trying to live normal lives. Protecting them is an enormous tank-like vehicle called the Dead Reckoning with the artillery and firepower of a small nation. This story shows what happens when the Dead Reckoning's reasonable leader, Riley, loses control of his command. Riley must try to take back control of this powerful vehicle, while at the same time battling his way through a city filled with zombies...[/quote:21a55] |
Hells yeah!!
Romero > *.zombie movie directors |
when dawn of the dead come out?[/quote:b0856]
sometime in October |
I dont know Zoner, I thought Danny Boyle did a great job with 28 Days Later, but I dont know if you can classify them as zombies lol, either way ya looking forward to it, zombie movies rule! rock:, I cant wait till dawn of the dead comes out on dvd, the newest version I mean
|
hmm...
|
it will probably be pretty good.
|
28 Days later is not considered a zombie movie, and personally I wasn;t too impressed by it at all. But thanks to that and Dawn of the Dead, Romero gets to make his sequel and Return of the Living Dead 4: Necropolis gets greenlit. Apparently the filmakers are in Chernobyl filming scenes for the movie. Although the movie will most likely be a joke filming in Chernobyl is a good idea and perfect for a zombie film.

What is Day of the Dead: Contagium I have seen some sites for this but they are all down
|
that looks pretty awesome...
[quote:93412]Romero had been developing Diamond Dead, a black comedy musical...[/quote:93412] that should be interesting... |

[quote:32d8f]In the film, the zombies having taken over the world and those left alive are confined to a walled-in city that keeps out the corpse corps. Anarchy rules the streets, with the wealthy insulated and living in fortified skyscrapers.[/quote:32d8f]
Couldn't the zombies just fly airliners into the skyscrapers, Al-Qaeda style? |
^ Unfunny. annoy:

Resurrecting this thread (pun intended).
New trailer is online and it looks fucking AWESOME! http://movies.yahoo.com/feature/georgea ... edead.html It opens on my moving day, June 24th. Drag. I'll hafta wait. |
The Aussy zombie movie Undead is being released in the US soon as well, although it's not exactly a straight zombie movie. It's a very strange flick actually, but worth the look.
|
Yeah, I saw the trailer for that a while ago. Looked interesting. Isn't it supposed to have a lot of dark comedy in it?

None of Romero's movies have really been "scary" since Night Of The Living Dead, and that was only because of the originality of that film as a whole, and the time it originally came out. Zombie movies focus on gore and plot alot more than traditional scares and plotline that you would find in a typical horror movie. ....And god YES, I cannot wait for this film - I love Romero's trilogy... |

I need a title for my trilogy about a group of people who survive in the walls of a fortified house during the 20 year zombie apocaplypse. its not really going to be a scare fest movie
