BAD. Get real Corsair memory (CAS 2.5) that will support your eventual evil
overclocking...

See the problem here ? The videocard requires a 500W power supply but
you're purchasing a 420W. Change it :)

I thought nvidia said that the cards ran on around 400W, you only needed a bigger power supply if you attemt to overclock it. And if you are getting the latest card might as well get the pci express one with 16x pipeline, but then you need a new motherboard.

Thanks Soli

But I was just thinking which one would be the bestbuy, with some minor changes. rock:

I'm kinda bent on RAM too, dunno if I should get a gig of Mushkin black lines at 400mhz or the corsair twinx 400mhz.

Mushkin: http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applications/ ... 2&NoMapp=0

Corsair: http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applications/ ... -5102%20PT

really dont matter, youll never see a difference.....

grave runs one stick of each happy:

but dont get from tigerdirect, you can get mush "222 special" from mushkin.com for 160 a stick

i just have a preference for mushkin.. meh

also, not really a point in getting a 64 yet, get a decent XP and grab a 64 when they get better and less xpensive happy:

Those prices are Canadian dollars, and I can't really do anything about my CPU and mobo because my mobo is sitting in my basement along with the case and power supply.

fujimi7su 08-14-2004 05:45 PM

as far as CPU i was referring to Webb

still, newegg or mushkin.com will grab you better prices... at least im assuming.. as its true 99.9999% of the time. Plus newegg=free shipping happy: i just grabbed 1024 of crucial for 160 oOo:

Come on guys. eek:

Akuma 08-14-2004 07:14 PM

Get the first one. Just trade out that shitty CPU cooler for something better like a Zalman CNPS7000A.

Maybe get a 6800GT or X800XT if you can find them, they are worth the extra cash if you are willing to spend it.

What about the Mobo ?Should I upgrade ?

Also will that fan fit the new socket 939 ?

Thanks

Akuma 08-14-2004 07:33 PM

I've heard nothing but good things about that board. One of the best Socket 939 mobos out right now.

fujimi7su 08-14-2004 08:55 PM

fujimi7su 08-14-2004 09:41 PM
