Alright heres something for you all to think about, at the lack of good serious threads i figure this should spark some good responses.

Contemporary social scientists have suggested that todays youth are maturing much earlier than in previous generations therefore, should the minimum age of juvenile court jurisdiction (age 7 in VA and around age 13 in other states) be lowered? Do you agree with this statement? Why or why not.

Basically i want to to know what you think. Is todays youth actually getting to the point that when they are young they know right from wrong? And should be punished more as an adult? I mean for instance the little kids who are like 8, i was with my ex-girlfriend and this little 6 year old girl asked us if weve made love. Im like wtf, where did you learn that one?! Or the little girls who are like 11 dress like britney spears and are having children for christ sakes.

Yes, when a kid who is like 8-12 kills someone they know what they are doing and should be tried as an adult.

rolleyes: Hell yeah i think they should lower it. make it at about ohh say 8. i know 4 year olds that curse more than my dad. When a child is old enough to think for themselves then that is when they should be tried as an adult.

Todays kids are cheeky little fuckin rat bastard cunts that need a good shitkicking. Some of the shit ive heard them come out with, fuckin amazing.

One little kid was hitting on my girlfriend he was like 10 im like wtf man get out of here. Than another time my friend has a nice integra, and him and this other friend of mine were leaving my neighborhood and this kid like hes 9 says "you faggots!" my friends pull a 180 the kids on a bike him and his friend, they take off, my friends chase him, they are like crying my friend stole his bike and rode it around in the court for alittle bit than gave it back lol.

a lot of the little kids now a days piss me off. i see them walking around thinking they are "tough shit" when they are like 10-12 and couldnt even lift a bike off the ground. walking around swearing, i've seen kids swear at their parents at that age. if i did that, i would have got the shit kicked out of me. and if my kids do that, ill kick their ass too.

I go to an international school in germany, and no offense, but friggin swedish kids act all rich and sophicticated right before they spill milk on themselves, and english kids act all "gangsta" like there the shit. Some 11 year old talkin about pimpn senior girls.... they need a good shit kickin daily.

Im sure sending a 7 year old kid to Juvy for 13 years, then letting him out when he older will make him a great person in Society, Im sure after gets out the first thing he is gonna do is go and make amends then get a fantastic job and live a regular life, you people gotta realize, it ain't about cutting their hands off, its about teaching them "what they did was wrong" & rehibilitating them into society. To be honest, I hate letting these little fuckers go, but sending them to court for years before theyre 18 is really fucking cutting their feet out front them. it sets them up for a lifetime of failure, people can learn from their mistake

if its something more minor they deserve another chance to get shit wired tight and worry about life. Growing up is really hard sometimes we cant think right and make irrational desicions. Learning from those descions makes growing up growing up

parents need to take the time to actually be parents. kids don't need any more "buddies" which is what most parents want to be to their children these days.

I say we should just indoctrinate them when they're young. Train them from birth to be functioning adults who practice in what's best for their genetic dispositions. As for the here and now, lets make a big statement on deterrence. Next time some rich kid kills his friends because he was trying to recreate the Mexican standoff scene from Reservoir Dogs; we should just publically execute him. We can't always rely on the parents to raise their children properly. Sometimes, they need to suckle on the government's teat.

I think if there old enough to kill, then there defenently old enough to vote...

i remember here in vegas, maybe it wasnt here but somewhere in the usa where a girl (13 or 14) brought her guy friend out into a field promising sex, and then her other guy friends came out of nowhere and started beating the other kid and they all killed him. just to get his money in his wallet. WTF.

agreed, when I was young if I did something stupid I got my ass kicked, if I were to do that to a kid today Id be up on charges. The parents are where the problem lies. I see some of my kids friends and just shake my head. 10 years olds dressing like Brittney Spears, bare middrif whats up with that. Someone said parents are trying to be kids friends or cool, well thats OK to a point but the parent has to rule the roost. Im glad I have raised my kids like I have, they will say "please" Thank-you" and if they address you it would start Mr. xxxx or Miss xxxxx. respect is a learned thing. Kids will do what thier parents do. You MUST lead by example

I hung out with some kids who were bad, but i realized that, my current friends shake my parents hands come over to my house when im not even home to just hang out with my dad.

I never dressed like i was black, or like i was a prep, or like i was mad at my father. I dress in what is comfortable. And im sure being an 11 year old girl and dressing like birtney spears isnt comfortable. I swear to god and no im not a pedophile but this really cute girl was looking at me so i proceeded to have a conversation with her ya know get her number get to know her a little bit, so she goes "well i gotta go my mom is getting me soon." Im like "you dont drive?" Shes like "no im not old enough yet." im like WTF?!?!?! she was like 14 looking 17-19. Girls should wear a sticker with their age on it.

It all comes down to discipline. Obviously these kids aren't getting any.
This past winter, these two kids threw a snowball at my car hitting the side glass. It was at night and they were standing at the side of the road just inside a tree line. I kept driving and went around the block, parked the car, and flanked them from behind. They nearly shit themselves as i snuck up on them from behind. All i did was scare the living shit out of them and embarrass them. I asked them how funny would it be if they broke someones side glass and the flying glass went into an infants eye who was riding in a childs seat in the back. I said i didn't care about my shit-box of a car but if anyone inside got hurt, i would've killed the both of them.

I think they learned their lesson.

I know what you mean man, it's the same down here....These fucking little girls dress as though they're much older - You just can't tell nowadays....Parents should be aware, letting their girls dress like that they're just asking for dodgy older guys and sexual predators to feast on these girls.
