well I know a bunch of people are starting another year of college. this is my first and my first classes are tomorrow. Seeing how im bored decided to start a topic.
I some how managed to score a single room as a freshman and so far it fucking rocks. Complete privacy and yet its still a college life.
What types of rooms do you guys have, or have had. which do you prefer a single or roomates?

Ive never been, but i would much rather have a roommate.

I shared a room with a good friend of mine for our first year in residence, then I got a job as a Resident Assistant for the next 2 years.

The free single room was worth putting up with drunks at 4:00 AM and having to let dumbasses into their rooms when they locked themselves out.

i was 24 when i started so i never really experienced the 'college' life...

about to go off to my first class of this semester today, Im going to a community until I have the max amound of hours that will transfer over to UT, gotta save the money

i have a question.....does each dorm have its own bathroom and shower? or is it one of those community bathrooms...? or does that depend on the college?
cuz for 40 grand a year i'd like my own god damn bathroom.

a friend of mine lives in the dorms and shanres a 10x10 room with another girl. ROFL

I just started college this year also. It isnt what i thought it was gonna be. I mean i knew there was gonna be alot of work but this one class is ridiculous and the teacher is an asshole. My other classes arnt so bad but fuck man there is so much reading and stupid crap to do.

my dorm is set up in suites. There are 3 floors and each floor is divided in half. On my floor theres guys on one half girls on the other. Theres a common kitchen area, 7 rooms(1 RA, 3 doubles, a triple and 2 singles. We all share 2 showers and 2 toilets.

I bet many similarities can be found between being an RA and a mad at this site biggrin:

i was lucky enough to have a roomie i could get along with in freshman year, but that was rare

this year im in one of 2 4 person suites with my friends on a floor of ppl im already friends with

i cant really say what its like to hate your roommate but it must really really suck

My dorm is set up like this (transfer student dorms, off campus. It rules)

Two stories, four rooms per story. One person per room. Two rooms share one bathroom (seperate doors to the bathroom) and four rooms share a central kitchen. You can get in and out through an outside door. Its awsome.
