OFFICIAL Where does ur nic come from?
 

We all have, possibly some semi interesting stories behind our nicknames, our online names, screen names, whatever you want to call it. My original name was The Final Solution, cause it was a WWII game, and from there it graduated into The Final Solution's Revenge. Then, in an atttempt to start a fake clan, called [>LoL<], I logged back on to this one server, trying to recruit, and made up some names. CoMaToSe SoB was one of them, and it kinda stuck. When I joined aa.com, I had grown tired of typing SoB, so just shortened it to CoMaToSe. Now, it ios the name I use on all the forums and games I do.

I used to go in MOHAA servers and just use GaryColeman to make people laugh- especially when i'd type, "Whatchu talkin 'bout Willis?!". It eventually just got shortened to Coleman, but people still call me Gary (never the full name)

I studied Zen and Buddhism for a few years attaining a sence of ballance and peace, and my life revolves around the lessons I learned from that time.

Today, if asked what religion I am I typically respond Buddhist... though I am not a full blown nut about it, I still do find the time to meditate here and there and often relate life's experiances to "Zen" philosophy.

Here's the story behind mine.

In high school, my group of friends had our lockers in a part of the high school that people called the Zone. It was an alcove in the hallway with the elevator, the janitor's closet, and a water fountain. Anyway, since we were all in the Zone we were known as the Zoners. We were known as the mischief makers in the school, so no one screwed with the Zoners. We'd duct tape grade 10 students to poles, race folding chairs thru the halls, have in-school water fights, etc. Good times.

I've used this nickname (formerly Zoner91) in various online capacities since 1993.

There's this kid in DoD with the name Bewton and I think his last name is Newton also..

Wow, according to these facts there must be some fucking astrological occurance here, 2 people in the gaming world with the last name newton? Charlie, the planets must have lined up in complete fucking allignment for this one fellows.

I have Black hair, dark skin and used to have glasses so I got called mr levinstien from american pie and i made it my name.

Note:I do not look like eugene levy, he is secsy but i am more pleasing to look at.

Used to HeLlSniPEr in day of defeat when i could actually hit shit, got finished with dod and at the time i had a voodoo 5 so i put first 3 initials of my name along with the v from voodoo and the 5500 giving me gerv5500. used that for moh mainly when i used to play it a bit. Since then it went from that to Gerv and now just geRV.

Wayne Gretzky. Even though he played for the oilers, and didn't really have any particular interest in him. I watched his last game in 1999, and his number was 99, and that day I needed an email. Thhought up ninty9, and didn't realize I had spelt it wrong until about 3 years later.

Well for Nexus, this was my friends nick a long time back and he changed it, and i went into a server with my name as nexus just for laughs and i never changed it in the mohaa mp options so it kind of caught on..

used that for awhile in games but thought jesus fuckin hell my name is long and would fill up the screen when they showed all the names on screen on DF2

Shortened it to just Nyck,,,MSS was the old DF2 squad that My uncle and I ran

anyone here even remember the game "heavy gear"? i played that when i was young and liked it a lot. oOo: saw this regiment named the "21st BlackJackals" and thought it was cool. i chose it as a name since ppl dont hear much of the jackal and black sounded cool. the General part came when i started a clan in 2003. name stuck. i'll take a ss of the screen w/ regiment on it when i re-install game.
