NFL > CFL

Why do you think when Doug Flutie, considered one of the best players in CFL when he played in Canada, came to the NFL and was considered mildly above average.

But...

MLB>NFL

Yea, Underskilled? Bullshit. You try hitting a ball traveling in the mid to high 90's Fastball with a late, slight drop. Try throwing a ball that Travels straight at 100 MPH, then throw a 60 MPH curve ball with a 12 to 6 break.

Try catching a ball while running fullspeed, looking over your soldier knowing that theres a wall 5 feet in front of you.

Wait ... THIS JUST IN

-Sammy CORKS his BAT again

-Bonds pumps another 2000 Dollers worth of Steroids.

-And Well's is 400 pounds over weight.

-While A Rod gets another 256 Million for 10 years.....

-While Rose bets on the game.

Gimme a break, baseball is a fucking joke.

Short Hand 09-12-2004 06:37 PM

back onto football. I love it yes. I like all the leagues, just some more over others. They are all great to watch.... except the xfl...

Sammy was using his bat he uses for batting practice (Most players cork their bat for practise, its not against the rules.) It was an accident, lets move on. They started testing for steroids this season. and well, Bonds is still putting up MVP numbers. Wells isnt even 400 pounds overweight. He is a slob. A slob that pitched a perfect game. A slob with world series titles. A Rod earned his money by being the best player in the game. Rose betted on a game, AFTER he retired.

So please tell me. What this has to do with their Lack of talent?

Short Hand 09-12-2004 06:44 PM

It has everything to do with it you moron.

From the integrity of the game, to the roid pumping players...

Remember the good ole days, when you just bought the world series ? rolleyes:

Its league policy that all players are tested for steroids. So they arent roid pumping asshole like yourself. So please, find a new argument. You are saying nothing about talent. Your just focusing on the negative things that have happened. Bought a world series? If you're willing to give what the player is asking for, you get what you pay for. A quality player, though that has nothing to do with winning a world series. Chemistry > Talent. Its been proven over and over

because no one cares about football in canada, and because they get paid 1398713 million more dollers than in the canadian league

That is because the CFL and NFL are two VERY different games. The CFL is much more reliant on the aerial game, while the NFL tends to concentrate more on running.

Also a wider field allows for more open throwing and thus more room for receivers to run.

Also the players in the CFL are smaller. There is a restriction on the number of imports that can be on a team so the rest of them have to be Canadian. Those Canadians are trained and built up differently to play the Canadian game and not the American game.

If the two games were exactly the same in rules and Doug Flutie was average in the NFL, then yes i'd say that the NFL has more tallent and such, however, since the games have a lot of differences, I don't think its safe to compare.

Which one you like probably has to do with where you live.

Thus for me CFL>NFL.

indeed, watching a canadian football game is exciting not all this run crap the americans play.

ninty 09-12-2004 08:11 PM

Oh yeah, like it was said, the NFL has millions of Dollars involved. IN Canada...not so much. therefore there is more competition to get into the NFL than the CFL. The NFL would be more of a draw to potential players.

Scalping Chief 09-12-2004 08:12 PM

i get tickets to an argo game every year and i enjoy going every year. much more fun than watching nfl.

TonyMontana 09-12-2004 09:29 PM

i have to agree the REAL football (soccer) owns every other sport, however college sports own all.

canes are winning the ACC conference this year. best game is gonna be against the hokies, canes want revenge from last years dumping
