Design Olympics - Animation Sig Event
 

** Didn't have time to whip up a pic for this one, if someone wants to make one I'll use it, if not... I'll get to it when I get the chance! lol. **


Welcome to the Animated Sig Event!

Please familliarise yourself with the [url=http://www.alliedassault.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=1001257:adb11]rules[/url:adb11] and standards before submitting an entry.

This event will require the creation of an animated sig. It may be of any nature you desire. No Flash or swf files will be allowed.
Sig must not be larger than 450 x 150. File size should be less than 200k for ease in viewing.

Ok, I think I have made a mistake in size limits here.

Needless to say I don't use ImageReady much, and I simply don't know what a normal size would be for simple animation. I chose 200k because I figured twice AA standards would be fine... Im not sure now.

So I need some serious opinions here.

What should the size limit be?

Keep in mind we don't want to overdo it!

I would ask Neo... but you bastards seem to have a problem with people that don't use styles you think are cool.


Edit: Only Short hands sig is too large at 576k. All others are below limit.

its impossible to render a 40 frame animated clip in any smaller..... the whole sig changes per fraME, since the tween = different opacity for the text and all the particles per frame... to put uit short, it is 40 diffrent pictures with huge diffrences pixel wise. I "can't" render it any smaller. I also see no poit on a size limit for a compitition like this... what point does it server if any ? Not like I am going to use this sig on a daily basis here...

i think he realized how shitty this place is and left.

while i do think the size limit should be maybe 600kb i dont think it matters, cause shorts shouldnt win this ..... anything over 600kb should fall under video IMO
