yea for now im just trying to make a basic shape lol..but thx for comments...any specific suggestions for improvement?

Hawke 09-16-2004 04:11 PM

the body it to thick. for the butt, start with a cylinder and extrude it till it reaches the body. the do a tube for the top part of the body and a square for the bottom. You will need to extrude alot.

Edit: I just finished modelling the wooden part of a PPSH 2 mins ago. It took me only 8 mins.

Im sry but you suck.. get a better program.. use gmax

imported_Grim_Reaper 09-16-2004 05:22 PM

dont just use shapes, edit vertices too. thats how u get stuff to be round. dont use boxes, use cylinders.

Godsmack 09-16-2004 05:36 PM

and use pics for reference

09-16-2004 05:46 PM

i used a pic as reference, and i did use verticies for the body. i used Milkshape 3d for that.

UPDATE: okay i fixed the butt and added the top thing, i just cant get the part where you would hold if you were in game.

heres three ss

round it out more. grab some of the side vertices and move em to give it that round effect.

Hawke 09-16-2004 07:16 PM

The thing on top is not supose to be the same width of the rest. It's still to blocky.

GoatChild 09-16-2004 07:38 PM

a bit blocky

Gonzo 09-16-2004 07:49 PM

try looking at some tut's, other than that i dont know what to tell you

09-16-2004 07:53 PM

yea i read that one that tells to use a backround pic and then use vertexes

HellHoundDD 09-17-2004 09:16 PM

I don't know shit about making weapons and stuff, but from what I can see, the basic shape is pretty good. Looks alot like the actual CS M4A1!

Try to smooth it out, and use real sizes, the whole gun isnt the same width in real life.

Dont model the whole gun (i know fuck all btw) split it into sections.
Do the but 1st get that right then move on. It will come good.
