Beating people over the head with my .45 is always fun. that's my weapons tip http://www.alliedassault.com/ubb/smile.gif

Once on that awesome sweedish server that does D-day with no snipers/rockets, I was an american running up the beach. I must have got mowed down by that damn Machine Gunner in the bunker 5 or 6 times. Finally, I made it over the shingle(narrowly dodgind more bullets from that damn gunner) and took cover to rest and plan for a minute right under the bunker(like in the Single player game and Saving pvt ryan) After a while, I decided to make it into the bunker. Believe it or not, I made it into the bunker and found the gunner, still raking the beach as new players ran up it. He didn't even notice me walk up behind him, he was too busy shooting. I pulled out my .45 and started to beat him with my .45. He eventually realized what was happeneing and tried to turn around, but he couldnt get off any bullets, and before long his bloody corpse fell to the groun (Mmmmmm Blood mod)

Bashing people is a great feature. I wish we had bayonets though lol

The easiest tip you will ever get. With Machine Guns only fire in bursts. Never just unload a clip at someone.(Unless they are 2 inches in front of you.) If you do then it is a given that 90% of your shots will miss. Then your dead because you have to reload before you kill someone.

When you know there are a group of enemy hiding somewhere, launch a nade into their hiding place, then quickly arm an smg. They will come running out in panic into your wall of lead.

i made a sniper script that makes non-zoomed shots as accurate as zoomed shots. its works very nicely

so you just admitted to cheating poseyj

Most important thing to know is the 2nd function nade. It drops to the floor. If you have someone following you its ur best bet..

Free-For-All/Team Match: Find a place to hide where you have a field of fire over a high traffic area and use the BAR or Thompson to blast whoever come across the path. Once I got like 10 kills until someone finally got me.

Hm, well I'd own alla j00z with the Thompson. It in fact does 24 points of damage per shot, so you can kill someone with 5 shots if you aim right. I guarantee I can kick anyone's ass just by circle strafing with the SMG and perforating... http://www.alliedassault.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

Try geting a MG or SMG, and then circle the enemy and shot at the same time. It works fro me!

poseyj is a known cheat. We encounter him much on servers and most will refuse to play with him after a while. He leaves shortly after that and we then all laugh at him

I've found the Thompson to be less acurrate than the mp 40 to be more accurate.

Also I've found that down streets or when strafing you need to aim just a little bit ahead of your target or you will miss because of the time it take for the bullets to get there.

my best tip is a tip for revenge.
mainly its aimed at snipers when you get stuck in close combat. chances are your dead anyway so switch to greandes and start throwing them using the second fire button.
it works best if you just drop one just before you die cos ppl think you're droping it as a pick up not a live nade. Then with a bit of luck they run over you corpse to get the medikit and *BOOM* they die.
I do this all the time, funny as hell.

Personnaly, I have to disagree (unless in a deathmatch). Everytime I rush around a map, I get caught by a sniper or someone else waiting on the other side of the corner. I would suggest be patient and carefull... and if you're not a sniper, stay away from those windows! http://www.alliedassault.com/ubb/smile.gif

These are suppose to be weapons hints and tips, not tactics. But since it seems to be both:

* Don't panic. If you have a rifle blasting way rarely works, but since MOST players just blast away if you can remain calm and AIM you will win even against the German Machine Gun. One well placed round from the M1 or mauser is all it takes. Though I am talking the CPR Realistic Damage servers, as that is all I play. But with a rifle you can kill from very far away if you aim well and up close if you don't panic and stop and aim chances are he will miss you while he is dancing around and you will lay him out.

* with the sub machine guns I try to fire UP the person and get several rounds in on up to the head (realistic server again, normal server the smg is worthless unless you get a head shot or the guy is already down to 4 pts etc.)

* Tactic hint: if you are in Round Match, or Burning Bridge's hybrid Objective match which also has the Round Match maps, the moment you spawn crouch down and do a 360 turn, as you might spawn right next to an enemy. Last night I did that and there he was, but I was crouched and he fired over me, I got him with one shot. Then I went up the stairs and there was another enemy standing right next to one of my teammates, neither had bothered to turn around and did not know the other was there! I got that second kill as well and saved my teammate's life.

* If you play with Friendly Fire on DON'T throw your grenades unless you have a target tossing them like mortar shells or into buildings when you were not the first guy to move forward will kill more friends than it will enemies!!

* Save your grenades. I get many more grenade kills by holding onto them and using them after everyone tossed theirs in the opening rush. Also they are great for ferriting out campers

Question to LordLovat: Game you name a few of CPR servers. I can't seem to find any with 'All Seeing Eye'.

Tip: Don't eat the yellow snow...bad idea.

Depends on the situation, but if there's a crowd, I toss a gernade their way before finishing them off. I'm just rationing my rounds.
