I just bought a Mosin Nagant yesterday, for $105.50 I will put up picks of it asap, it was made in 1942

Sniper variation with the bolt bent down or the infantry variation where the bolt sticks out to the right?

You would be EXTREMLY lucky to get a sniper version for that price. My nagant is also 1942.

Could be the ammo, try some Russian made Wolf.

The world is coming to an end, duke_of_ray said something that made sense.

He uses Wolf in his SKS and its fine, but then again its semi-automatic so who knows.. Ill suggest that he changes ammo brands though and see what the results are...

I like wolf ok, but for my SKS you can get better. WOlf is just the easiest to find. If youu don't mind paying 20$ for 20 rounds get some 7.62x54r hunting ammo, should be new and good.

Im more suprised at the fact he has a gun and hasn't shot himself yet. oOo:

Mainly because they are imports and not American made, I think.. Notice the M1 Garands and M1 Carbines are anywhere from $750 - $1600

the AWB is gone so prices have dropped

My dads boss owns an M1 Carbine, he bought it for like 600 CDN.

M1 Garands are $400-500 USD. I saw a carbine somewhere for $750.

Of course a brand new Garand will cost you $1200 or so.

All of the ones I have seen have been at gun shows and ran around the prices I listed.. It was probably because they re-worked the wood among other things.

Probably. I saw one at a gun show that was like $900. Mine was $400 and in better condition than the one I saw.

Purchased it from some government program thing so that's likely why.

Nice purchase, which model did you get? I got a M44 Mosin Nagant with the attached bayonet, its pretty kickass. I got it for about $85. The Big5 near my house has a Turkish 8mm Mauser 98 rifle for theh same price. Post some pics.

Im going to guess he got a m91/30. At that price and that year. The carbine version was the m38 was made before the m44, and it did not have the bayonet.
