Yeah, those are old school, in Canada it's hard to find Potassium Nitrate they took it off the shelves at drug stores, me and my friends used to make those, we made enough that it filled up a pepsi can, we lit it off at a park and the whole park was covered in thick white smoke, gotta find some more of that potassium.

But you also have to be very careful when making it, some people, like us, used a soup can and a torch to cook it until it looked like shit, and one day my buddy's dad was helping us cook it and he help the torch on one spot for to long and it started to flare and smoke and he got some embers on his chest and arms.

its not really that dangerous if youre not a dumbass, never tried these before honestly.... ill find a cool mold and make a few dozen of em this weekend for halloween.

At the end of my senior year, 3 people at my school got arrested and were charge involuntary manslaughter after using some potassium nitrate smoke bombs. Someone had a major asthma attack and died from it.

Just a word of caution.

I used to make them all the time, I made one in a 500ml can once, it was huge. I made the mistake of not wearing gloves though when making it and of course one day it spilled all over my hands, well once its on your hands theirs no way to get it off untill it hardens so after having it burning my skin for 10 seconds i managed to pop it off. That was one hell of a painfull burn, it got these huge blisters I had to keep poping, ouch.

Involuntary manslaughter is possibly the most terrible thing to be charged with. hake:

I know this guy who was supposedly going 80-90 on a small road that was windy. The driver was reaching in the back seat to get something while the passenger was steering, they ran the corner to fast and hit a very small tree and it almost tore the Mustang in half. The passenger died and the driver was almost paralyzed. He was going to be charged for inv. manslaughter, but he supposedly walked away with it. Passenger was, I think, 16 or 17; and the driver 18.
