Bee stings make ya sick?

so can they ?

i got fucking stung by a wasp earlier and ever since ive been feeling like shit ... like run down , having a fever without having one ... that kind of shit.

I'm not allergic either.

Pyro 10-27-2004 10:38 PM

I have no idea, but bees wasps etc. are one of my fears.

TonyMontana 10-27-2004 10:42 PM

I've never been stung by a bee or wasp

ninty 10-27-2004 10:43 PM

probably. it could be some sort of reaction. you don't necessarialy have to have an allergy to them. go to sleep, but don't go into a coma and die because i'd miss you too much ok?

Yes its possible to get sick from a bee sting, your probably a tad allergic to it.

Himmler 10-27-2004 11:01 PM

i was stung once, didnt hurt that bad and i didnt really feel sick or anything so thats a good thing dance:

geRV 10-27-2004 11:03 PM

bukdez 10-27-2004 11:13 PM

if you feel the same tomorrow, call a your doctor...

Eight Ace 10-27-2004 11:26 PM

just get someone to suck the poison out, I was bitten by a wasp on the
cock once and that's what I did so it's no biggy....the situation I mean.

Madmartagen 10-27-2004 11:32 PM

Prolly a little allergic to it. I got stung once in the leg and the area swelled up a bit, but I didnt feel sick. You should prolly see a doctor dude.

ninty 10-27-2004 11:33 PM

i've been stung probably in the vacinity of 7-10 times. My dad was throwing rocks at a bees nest way up in some tree, so idecided to do the same, then all the bees decide to come after me, so i go running down the path as fast as i could screaming and wailing, but one got me right on the temple. That hurt big time. Bee stings elsewhere are not really all that bad, but in the face/head hurts.

Also, my father was stung three times in one day last summer. beer:

Bee and Wasp Stings Symptoms

[code:476c7]The severity of a sting is determined by a number of factors. The type of insect, the location of the sting, the number of stings, and the allergic sensitivity of the victim can all affect the outcome. Most people do not have allergic reactions to bee and wasp stings.

Medical problems from bee and wasp stings are broadly broken down into 2 categories:

* Local reactions (only the part of the body near the sting is affected)

o Immediate pain, redness, swelling, and itching at the sting site may occur.

o A large (greater than 4 inches across) local reaction may develop over the next 12-36 hours.

o A bacterial skin infection, although uncommon, may also begin during the first 12-36 hours (or even after the first few days).

o These may cause an enlarging area of redness at the sting site. It may be difficult to tell a local skin reaction and a local bacterial skin infection apart.

* Systemic or allergic reactions (parts of the body away from the sting are affected)

o Hives (raised itchy bumps on the skin) and itching all over the body

o Swelling of the mouth or throat or both

o Wheezing

o Shortness of breath or other difficulty breathing

o Nausea

o Vomiting

o Anxiety

o Chest pain

o Low blood pressure (weakness or fainting)

* In severe cases, marked difficulty breathing, unconsciousness, and even death may occur.[/code:476c7]

i never really minded a bee sting. They sting u, it hurts, and then you totally forget about it. At least thats what happens to me.

Judas 10-28-2004 01:30 PM

same for me usually ... but i felt feverish ... the sting was on my upper right arm so that might ve had something to do with it.... not feeling shitty today so i guess im not going to die.

but, something strange about this one... where the fucking thing stung me theres been like a small bubble of fluid that ive been busting over and over ( maybe 5 times ) ... dunno wtf but this has never happened before either.

You can actually die from a bad reaction.

Next time anyone gets stung, mix a lil' batch of mud and apply to the area. It'll take away the pain. Or, if you're like me, you'll splash some flame accelerant on the area and strike a match. That'll get rid of any poison !!
