Arafat Dead?
If he dies will this be good or bad for the Palestinian people? Might usher in change and maybe get the jews/palestinians back toa negotiating table?
im thinking in a strange way tis good for him to meet Allah..hopefully usher in change. calmdown: |
Almost 70% of Palestinians back suicide bombings and Hamas. So Arafat is pretty irrelevant.
|
Sharon is no better.
|
they are all evil...

arafat is one of the richest dictators in the world, he holds his peoples money from them
if they had money to build good schools and buy food, they might stop blaming all thier problems on the israelis i think arafat is a HUGE cause of the terrorism, hes also a huge liar, he says shit to the americans in one language that he will cooperate, then he turns around and tells his people in arabic that they should not cooperate and to fight for thier land |
I think the only good Arafat is a dead Arafat.

he has been in power for 35+ years? he hasnt accomplished much IMO...maybe he has established a constitution and set up some faux governmental structure but past that...meh... eek: |

Arafat is undoubtedly a pretty bad man but his death wont accomplish anything because somebody even worse then Arafat will take power, somebody who believes in what he did, and the violence and bloodshed will continue.

lets form a party and go over there and kill him
|
1. he dies, he will be used as a symbol to the people of palestein as some sort of freedom fighter hero to be remembered.
2. Beleive it or not, he is our only hope of settling this whole mess in the middle east. Like him or lump him, when it comes to the bargaining table, which we can only hope for soon.... His stature among his people wilol be the only thing that stops them from commiting more suicide bombings. Which in turn, keeps Isreali helicopters from blow buildings up. |

Aw fuck him. Didn't he live long enough??
Anywho, i think the Palestinian people would be better off without him however, that all depends on who succeeds him. |
Arafat, Sharon and all the other cold war hardliners need to gtfo. Only way for a good peace to form is with new leadership w/o grudges. Hard thing to find though, considering most families in both areas have had someone killed by the other side. The cold war is over, dudes, its time to move on.

so your claiming arafat has no power or influnce or not enough ? Can you back up your claims ? please give me a break. Arafat has enough support to play a major role in getting some peace to this place. You wanting him to die will only make things worse. Your jumping to rash ideas. -Also you are quite uninformed yourself when you make such claims. You do know Mr Arafat has won a nobel peace prize right ? He is a legend among his people. He is I repeat IS of up most importance in these peace workings. I would hope you would all want an ending to the bloodshed ? |
I see where he's off to France for some infidel health care.
|
certain Muslims hate France, Others don't.
|
the bad thing about him dying is .. theres nobody to take his place .. it will create a major power struggle , and since israel is pulling out of some of the west bank its gonna get messy if the ole bastard dies.
