i only watched the first 2 episodes ever and it never caught my attention. Some of those episodes just got rediculously retarded.

I watched it up until David Divovovich left the series, series/season 7 I think. When it first came out it was fantastic, I remember watching the first ever series on BBC2 here in the UK and I was like ed:, but when it got to the point where FOX "SPOOKY" MULDER exited stage left, I was well and truly fed up with it. Now that you've turned me on with this X-Files talk, I might download the whole thing, or buy it - start to finish - on DVD.

Edited for spelling

Judas 11-08-2004 02:33 PM

i also stopped watching at the beginning of season 8 when the show was on the air. i was pretty unhappy to see him go too ... he and scully were perfect together. but, season 8 is pretty damn good if you give it a chance.
im really starting to like the new characters and the stories are still leet.

Hollywood 11-08-2004 02:56 PM

Show wasn't the same after season 4...Season 5 seemed to be just a bunch of filler episodes to occupy the audience until the movie came out. I would have preferred more alien conspiracy episodes but after a while that storyline just seemed to become ridiculous. I have been watching them off and on again because I downloaded all 9 seasons a while ago but I lost interest at season 5. Going to start watching again soon because it's better then 90% of what's on TV nowadays, but knowing it doesn't get any better makes it hard to watch every single episode again.

EDIT-> Forgot to mention that the final episode is kind of a letdown considering all of the build up over the years about the "truth". A positive for season nine was seeing Mulder and Dogget work together for a bit.

Nyck 11-08-2004 03:13 PM

never really watched it faithfully. The face that would wave and look like a huge floating head screaming in the opening credits of the show used to scare me...

somebody hold me

bukdez 11-08-2004 04:16 PM

i really liked the show until Mulder left, i watched some of the first season after he left, but couldn't really get into it...

Zoner 11-08-2004 05:32 PM

Watched it right from the start. Loved that show, man. I even dug the Robert Patrick episodes (that's the dude's name right?).

X-Files on Sunday night was a university residence ritual. Good times.

Judas 11-08-2004 05:43 PM

yeah thats his name.. i didnt like him at first ... he seemed to damn dry comapred to mulder , but im coming around to him ... im REALLY liking monica reyes tho ed:

Jin-Roh 11-08-2004 05:43 PM

My favorite episodes:

The one about the imbreds or something, a few sons fuck their legless mom or something and will bury the baby alive in a field. Don't really remember the rest.

The one about the killer who has X-Ray vision, he kills a few guys, one being from the roof into the building or something.

The video-game one when the video-games kills the players is alright.

The X-Files movie was also pretty good.

Judas 11-08-2004 05:45 PM

yup those are all good ones ... the inbred one is one of my favs.

i think my all time fav is the one that detailed the life of the cancer man.

btw.

One of the episodes in season #2 had a female character with the same surname as mine. The moment I heard her name mentioned I became one with The X-Files. freak:
