Not allowed to leave school at lunch
was reading on anonther forum ([url=http://www.howardforums.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=494701&perpage=15&pagen umber=1:551a4]LINK[/url:551a4]) about how a kid getting a ticket for leaving his high school for lunch even though he was 16. Ends up its pretty common for people on that forum. Iv been allowed to go for lunch since grade 5, only reason I wasent before then was because it was surrounded by feilds and 4km to the nearest town. What about you guys? Are you all stuck in jails down there or is it just the kids on that site?
When I was in high school, you got suspended for leaving school premises, even for lunch.
My highschool is the only school in 200 miles who does not have "Off-Campus" privileges.
I'm 21 so I get to go wherever I want for lunch. Including Las Vegas.
When I was in Jr. High we had to get a slip signed so we could go off the grounds. When kids are at school, it's the school's responsibility to take care of them. So if all the kids are going wherever, then I think the school could have some liability on their hands. This is most likley why schools will punish those who break the rules, or get students to sign a slip with lessens the responsibility. Once I got to high school, we could go anywhere, including the bikini bar down the street. |
When I was in high school, students could not go anywhere in lunch. It sucked, they treated students like little kids. To many damn rules and regulations. What a relief for me when I finally graduated.

In my school, you have to be at least in grade 9 to go off-campus during lunch.
When I was a senior we could leave whenever we wanted.

In my High School, you can come and go from the school whenever, no one stops you unless they know your skipping, our lunchs are 55 minutes and classes are 75.

Well we could leave whenever, we just had to outrun the truant officer (a school lady with no real law enforcement rights) So what we use to do it one of us would have a note to leave and my friend would just hide us in his trunk rock: |
Juniors and Seniors have off-campus privaleges. Sophmores and Freshman have to stay. I really dont see the point in leaving, we have Dions (Local pizza place, Best pizza ive ever had), arbys, taco bell, dominoes, and KFC in DECA (Like a store with everything, on campus)
Yea at my school you can leave if you are a senior. Which blows since i'm a junior and have some days where I have almost 2 hours of free time in the middle of my day.

only Seniors can go off campus. theres Ruby Tuesdays, Krystal, Starbucks, Papa Johns, Walgreens, some mexican restraunts, burger place, and The American Grill. People order their food from school then dont pick it up cause they like to play pranks. oOo:

were not supposed to leave but our parking lot manager (i.e. 90 yr old guy in a golf cart) lets us leave
at my school, seniors had the priveledge of being able to eat lunch off campus. you could also leave if you had a parents note. if you were 18, you could go to. the c/o 99 at my school screwed around after my class had graduated, so they had some wild party on campus. some chick got high as hell on pot and drank so much she passed out. someone called 911 and the firemen called the cops when they saw all the kids with beer in their hands and weed in their wraps.
i cant leave school for lunch, ever. i have a 25 min lunch. thats it, kinda sucks.

like in elementry school you could only leave the grounds if you were in grade 7(final grade) and you had to get a permission slip signed, but it high school we can go anywhere we want during lunch&breaks(1hour and 20 minute class's and 15 minute breaks with 50 minute lunch) |
I got suspended in 3rd grade for going off school grounds, but we are allowed to go anywhere for lunch in grade 10, but the dumbass monitors dont even know the difference between the 9th and 10th graders so basicly, its 9th grade.
we could go wherever we wanted, 76 min. classes, two 9 min. breaks and 50 min. for lunch... we sat in Pizza Pizza and smoked, it was the early 90's, you could smoke everywhere...
