awww poor deer!

geRV 11-14-2004 05:13 PM

I dunno how many videos\pictures ive seen of deers getting killed in ways that always involve vehicles. They must have some kinda lemming syndrome and randomly hop out in front of moving vehicles for no good reason. oOo:

Bean 2 11-14-2004 05:28 PM

Maybe their all depressed and suicidal.

ninty 11-14-2004 05:33 PM

Maybe getting hit by cars is a way of time traveling. Man these deer are smart. We don't even know it, and they do it all the time.

Arkan 11-14-2004 05:33 PM

OUCH.

True, though it has the disadvantage of being a quick jump forward in time to death. ed:

I hit a deer once, messed up a nice 67 Mustang. Was lucky it didn't come in the passenger compartment. Now I use those whistle things.

Fuck, they'll probably attract more suicidal depressed deers.

ninty 11-14-2004 05:40 PM

Doesn't have to go on the hood, you can put it underneath the car at the front, but yeah, it emits some noise to tell deer to get out of the way.

Or in this case "herrrrre deery deery, lets see how much damage my new bull bars can do".

Pyro 11-14-2004 05:43 PM

shitty

Akuma 11-14-2004 05:46 PM

Deer > Motorcycle

Johnj 11-14-2004 05:46 PM

I've posted a picture above. They work pretty good. They come two in a package and you mount one on each side of your front bumper, or the bottem of your fork legs. The two tones will keep most animals out of harms way.

tomxtr 11-14-2004 07:16 PM

Damn, his speedometer said 112 when the other guy hit the deer. Not sure if it's kph or mph, either way oOo:

ninty 11-14-2004 07:26 PM

i'm pretty sure its 112kph. They wern't going super fast from the looks of it. 112kph is normal highway speed.

these do not work, The University of Michigan did a study on these things and found that there is no relation between cars that have then and those that dont. In fact deer are very curious animals and the thought is they might not run away in order to see what made the sound

Thats true. A buddy of mine started using them after hitting a few deer. He clipped another using the whistle.

Unknown_Sniper 11-15-2004 08:44 AM

best der protection you can get for a car is a 1 inch thick piece of steel welded to your cars frame. you wont even notice the fucker as you hit it.

if you need to put a 1nch steel plate on the front of your car i think you need to slow down, or stop driving threw the woods.

Are they curios when they hear gun shots?
Cause everytime I shoot one, they run away.
