The guy's one and only job is to kick field goals. It was an 18 yard field goal....how can you miss that

How do kicks making millions in the nfl miss PATs? |
FYI: We have fucking weirdos up here too.

Football is Saskatchewan is life. Thats their only professional sports team. Saskatchewan hasn't had a home playoff game since the 80's and hasn't been a good team since the 80's. Saskatchewan is my second favourite team because their fans are always in the stadium no matter if the team hasn't won a game and it's -30 outside. There's always rider pride in every city you go to in Canada.
Mccallum missing the field goal has nothing to do with it. People egging his house and dumping manuer on his lawn because of a football game is going a bit too far. But as I say, football is life there. No matter if Mcallum made the field goal or not, this stuff shouldn't happen. And Shawn, shut up. |
Even though we have more than one sports team, we care as much about the leafs as they do for the riders. And that shit never happens.
|
bs... when the Blue Jays won their second World Series people were flipping over TTC streetcars... yeah, no ones home was vandalized, but we have plenty of sports mayhem here...
the Cubs guy takes the cake though, he had to fear for his life... |
im more so refering to losing than winning, cuz toronto teams usually don't choke when it is an easy win.
|
Enough about that...you underdog cheerers who are always against toronto teams must realize we have been underdogs all year...and beat the best team in the league to get here....so hey if we win we deserve it...especially after bankrupcy, new owners and constant injuries. The Grey Cup belongs in Toronto this year.

CFL has only 3 downs CFL has only 1 timeout per half CFL has 110 yd field CFL if you miss the field goal, the other team can try and return it CFL receivers can be in motion before the snap therefore longer passes are available. It's a more quicker paced game, i cant stand when watching nfl games when both teams use up all their timeouts in a 5 minute span. Play...timeout...next play....timeout....another play.....timeout...YAWNZZZZ |

no one ever does it though because you would end up getting shitty field position christ the XFL was cfl lite...same basic rules... and yes the lions are pretty bad to watch right now |
1 I didnt know they used yards in the CFL, I thought it would be meters
2 I had no idea they (the CFL) were in the playoffs, oops my bad 3 the Lions have always sucked and always will suck, no matter who coaches, no matter who plays, no matter who watches 4 College football owns all!!! GO BLUE!!!!!!!!!!! |
Prostate cancer > Football
|
This is the 93rd Grey Cup this year I believe. They used the yards back then, and up until the 60's everything was imperial in Canada. Therefore, why change the units on a football field to meters?
And the Doug Flutie comparison goes like this: The NFL isn't as much of a passing game and wide open game as the CFL is. Thus the quarterback in the CFL is much more important and responsible for how the team does, than in the NFL. Players are also smaller here, and half of every team is Canadian. The games are very different. You couldn't have a game between a CFL team and an NFL team. And I just got my credit card bill. dance: |

I'm gonna try and scores tickets for the CFL, and if not, gonna have a party for the final game! everyone's invited, i'll fly ya all down! rock:
|
Going to the Grey Cup would be awesome! Tickets are a bit expensive though. I might not even get to wacth the game this weekend because i have to work. I'll tape it.
|
Oh and one last thing:
Something that really pisses me off is that in the states they'll never hear ANYTHING about the CFL or other all Canadian Sports until something bad happens. Even USA Today has to pick up the story. http://www.usatoday.com/sports/football ... dals_x.htm When was the last time you heard USA today run a story on the CFL? Normally when i'm in the states and want to check the CFL scores I have to wait a week after the game for them to put them in the paper and their on the last page in a little box. Same with hockey. Only time the US ever hears about Hockey is when Bertuzzi hits Steve Moore from behind. |
