Should I get and X-Box???
 

Should the Duke get an Xbox? Really what does the x-box have? All my FPS and Strategy needs are met with the PC, and the only games I can think of that I really want for x-box are football, and maybe basketball. Is there any other games I am missing? Im not into racing games, so who knows what else there is.

Is there a good game pad for the PC that I could use for madden?

The Xbox controller is fairly easy converted to a USB-controller for PC.

Just replace the original head with a USB head, not hard if you know what youre doing.

The only problem I could see was the availible driver did not have analog capabilities.

As far as the X-Box, there are tons of great games, it just depends what you are looking for....

my bro has xbox with FIFA 2004 and NBA Live 2004, great games. Also XBOX is 149.99 and comes with 2 free games and XBOX live trial. good deal if you ask me.

NFL 2K5 and NBA 2K5 are awesome games. Much better than what Madden is pumping out these days. XBOX is the way to go. Halo and Halo2. Plus the good chips available. [not the cheddar kind]

if i was going to buy a console system, i'd most likely buy an XBOX.

I hate Halo single player, it is 100% crap to me. I don't want to spend 150$ on a system just for football and myabe soccer. I just can't think of any game on the xbox I can't get on PC besides sports. Pluse I have dial up so no xbox live. :(

Damn, there are a lot of other games on Xbox. Fighting (MK and Sould Caliber) RPG's (Morrowind, KOTOR) Third person action (Ninja Gaiden, splinter Cell) Grand theft auto with better graphics. All of those games are good, at least in my Opinion. If any of those kind of games would interest you, you might want to consider an X-Box.

If you just want to play Fps, stick with the PC, unless you liked Halo(which I think is an Awesome game, sp & mp). As far as sports games go, though, X-box is the only real choice.

Forget it, everyone of those games sucks to me. I can get Grand Theft for PC, and it can me modded for PC. Oh well, I was just wondering, I guess my question was answered. Thanks all!

I knew you wouldn't like any of those games, I was just putting my own thoughts about the X-Box into writing nag: Yeah, you can get grand theft for the pc, but mouse and keyboard for a game like that, hell, for any game with driving, is teh suxors imo. Driving witht he keyboard sucks ass. Anyways....
