I am sick of getting "server uses old version" messages!
I downloaded from mohaa.ea.com without any wait so don't give me this "you have to pay for fileplanet" bullshit!

Not only does the patch get rid of cheaters but the in-game browser is a hell of a lot better than the gamespy one.

Or get All Seeing Eye. It filters out versions, so you can ignore all non patched versions when looking for a game, if you like.

There is NO reason why everyone should be updated to ver 1.1 by now.

Unless of course they want to use the SP cheats.

There are a number of reasons why somebody may not yet be updated to v1.1, most of which have been outlined in another thread.

And, of course, this does not change the fact that whining about people playing with a version different than yours, thereby preventing you from playing on their server, makes you sound like a pissy brat.

And forget about the other reasons why someone may not have patched their game yet ... doesn't matter, the Sgt is can't possibly understand. But that's what comes with being narrowminded. He's wrapped up in his own world, and that's nice for him.

If you think the issue I am addressing is the patch, you'll want to consider brushing up on your reading comprehension and critical thinking skills.

I don't care about the patch. And I haven't posted either way concerning the patch. I trust that pesky little fact will not elude you a second time.

LOL. What? Wasn't this covered in a thread already. This is NOT a problem for those running the so-called "beta" copy. EA and 2015's blunder all the way.

As someone said earlier, Gamespy will filter 1.0,1.1 and all the missions if you click on the MOHAA picture on top of the GameSpy screen...

Anyone with enough 'net knowledge' to find the Fairlight release should have enough sense to know where to look for fixed updates. If not then they shouldn't be messing with it in the first place. I assure you it works just fine with the 1.1 update... just have to use the regfix first.

Some people have good reasons for not buying a peice of software, while some just leach away. When the economy sucks so bad that you can't get a job scrubbing toilets for minimum wage, do you really think they can afford to shell out $50 for a freakin game? Hell no they can't. They'll buy it when they can afford it. The others would never have any intention of buying it anyway whether they could get it for free or not, so please explain how these companies are losing so many billions of dollars because of piracy. Oh wait, it's because they're wasting money trying to stop it....

*I don't condone piracy. If you use it (more than a few times that is), BUY IT if possible. You can't rent PC software and demos don't let you see enough of the title. That's my 2 bits worth (which is more than I'm worth right now... lol)*
