Anyone out there...

Anyone out there ever thought about becoming vegan? I've been vegan now for a few months...and love it...any of you vegan here?

PLEASE, serious responses.

Either way, those mountains of pure lust are no more! cry: cry:

Mr.Buttocks 12-02-2004 12:31 AM

I've thought about it, but it sounded like too much hard work so I didn't bother.

Albow0001 12-02-2004 12:33 AM

Yeah i thought about it when i was like...15?

Honestly, i decided it would suck. Miss out on the tastiest shit, and any "moral" excuse for veganism is just pure bullshit...don't make me do this, but i think i need to:

Really, its just sort of a choice to beg for attention by what you eat if you ask me...maybe in one case out of a hundred it helps elongate life, but i'll be happy dying at 55 of sheer bacon insanity

It's all choice, but think about the amazing food you're missing man...

geRV 12-02-2004 12:41 AM

I used to eat vegatables a hell of a lot, not exactly "vegan" but not far off it, then i realised what i was missing. dance:

guarnere 12-02-2004 12:42 AM

Ive had a lot of amazing food in the past...and I can really say...no thanks to it anymore...its definatly all on choice...and my favorite food has always been Oriental dishes...and they have a lot of Vegan sushi...which is AMAZING...and tofu is wicked wicked good if cooked right...but yeah...it is hard...but well worth it...

http://www.peta2.com

Ive always been a sort of...animal rights person...but was a hypocrite...because I ate them...I really feel better with this new life change...its awesome...

no cant do it at this point in my life. I eat jsut about everything and a lot of it and I do so because I dont gain an ounce. Im light, high metabolism, and I sure as hell am probably going ot have problems with blood pressure cholsterol etc(runs on both sides of family) so im enjoying it while I can. not always enmasse but in enjoyable amounts.
and I loved thi picture on that vegan site

now corect me im wrong but plants grow on earth jsut like animals. They need nutrients, water, and air just like animals. They need sunlight and protection from the enviroment and predators, just like animals. So how is eating a carrot any different than eating a chicken? So what the chicken can go bakaw! and screams when you kill it and it moves. Its not more than a carrot in the grand scheme of things.
In no way do I mean harm to your beliefs. If you want to be a vegan rock on rock: Just stating why at this moment in my life I choose not to give up meats, dairy, or anything rom animals.

guarnere 12-02-2004 12:56 AM

Yep, tell my girlfriend that.

I'd tell your girlfriend that but I can't...because you're a lonely prick. Go get raped.

Next.

A lot of people seem to think our meat comes from healthy chickens and cows, that were raised on a nice ol' farm in Kentucky somewhere...that couldnt be further from the truth...they are born, raised, and then slaughtered in those places...

...and about the carrot/animal thing...carrots can't feel pain...carrots don't get sad/happy...

I know its cruel how they treat animals, but they are bred to be food. And if I were an animal in those condition I might choose death over a caged barely large enough to hold a pile of shit.
I know carrots cant feel pain, no brain or nevous system. But also there are only a handful of animals on this earth that reognize death, danger, existance. A chicken doesnt know its going ot die, it doesnt know it is hurting cause it doesnt know what pain is, it doesnt know there is a world, it doesnt know anything except cage, food, water. Im not trying to start an animal rights thing so ill stop the hyjack freak:

Think of it this way...

A chicken doesnt know its going ot die.
A baby child doesnt know its going to die.

...it doesnt know it is hurting cause it doesnt know what pain is...
A baby can feel pain, so can a chicken.

...it doesnt know there is a world...
A baby doesnt know there is a world.

...it doesnt know anything except cage, food, water...
A baby doesnt know anything but mother, food, water, etc...

So, you gonna go eat a baby? Go right ahead.

@/\/G3L 12-02-2004 01:33 AM

I only eat all natural foods.

This to shall pass rolleyes:

Zoner 12-02-2004 06:59 AM

Try it for a while, Dave. See if you can do it.

Talk to a doctor or a nutritionist and see how you can supplement protein and iron intake that you'd be missing by not eating meat.

Do it sensibly or you could make yourself sick.

Also do it for the right reasons. Does this have anything to do with dating a hot vegan?

KTOG 12-02-2004 07:25 AM

I could live off of a diet of potatoes and apple sauce. However i like to throw some pork chops on the side once in a while.

Zoner 12-02-2004 07:33 AM

Oh, another thing to consider, a lot of vegetables cause major gas so you might wanna throw a bottle of Beano in your shopping cart.

Nothing ruins the mood more than squeezing off a beefer when your chick is heading south on you. biggrin:

KTOG 12-02-2004 08:04 AM

Fart Hammer

Zoner 12-02-2004 08:12 AM

heh heh...that the correct term for that? Hilarious!

/me writes that down.
