He had taken two tabs of LSD after a meal an hour before he went on, and it kicked in forty minutes beforehand, so Letterman apparently knew that something was wrong with Glover. He told the manager to "calm him down" to no avail.

At first I thought he was just being weird, but now i;m gonna watch it again knowing hes on LSD.
