Buttock seriously..... annoy: |
Well concerning that one fellow, he did serve a tour of Afghanistan. I hardly think you could call him a pussy.
|
Whatever...their loss.
|
Says the fags on the interwebs who aren't fighting in Iraq. Hell I doubt any of you would ever serve your country.
Either go die for your country or stop critizing them. |

Anyway, deserters are sorry. You sign up with the military to defend a country you love, not for no reason other than getting money for college. Obviously, a patriot is going to fight a lot harder than some dick cheese who wanted a free ride. Let them desert, don't need them anyway. They're the same sissies who break down in combat situations and get good soldiers killed. |
Whatever, they just didnt want to fight or die for that matter in a useless and unjust war. Keep runnin boys, the man is tryin to bring u down.
|
This makes me sick. I hope every one of these loosers gets thrown into jail, never to see the light of day again. Look at all those people over there dieing while they run becuase they don't have the guts to fight for their country. Man this is so annoying. I could never do this to my friends, my family, or my country. Uhhggg!!!! DOn't give me that freaking your not doing anything crap, because I am in the bloody Air Force so that I might do something for my country.
|
Yeah you just enlisted ok fly boy, dont get all excited there. Last time I checked, the marines, army and national guard are the ones getting shot at, not you top guns.

I actually served in the Navy for 4 years bud. What I am saying is that you havent started your tour, so dont start criticizing others who have already joined if they decide not to fight in Iraq. From what ive heard, its a pretty nasty place.

You dont agree with the war - tough shit cocksucker theres nothing in that contract you signed that you and your fucking country had to be in agreement. You have a job to do - you KNEW the fucking risks when you signed up, now you compromise the safety of not only your asset (Iraqi people) but of your own fucking unit. . . Any of you foreign shits - yes FOREIGN SHITS - who think leaving your unit behind is deserving of heroism need to get off the computer, get off your own god damn high horse, stop playing arm-chair quarterbacks and actually get a damn life. That ANYONE would be cheering these people is absolutely ridiculous. But hey - lets let people choose whats "morally" right for them to do. . . Lets let the racist cop sit in his car while the black women is raped. He doesnt think shes human anyway - it goes against his beliefs to help her. Or hey, lets let that doctor not perform emergency surgery on the illegal immigrant. Fuck his oath - he doesnt have to respect illegals. . .they arent here the right way. I like this new system of saying fuck you to my contract and doing what I thin is right. . . |

I kind of disagreed with you in the beginning of your statement but you convinced me at the end. Well done. +1 rock: |
Bullshit, and before your cheerleaders start chiming in, I would like to point out that you can pick your battles in the military. They have concientous objection status for people who dont want to fight. You can get reassigned or serve your time in jail. I belive its a risk you take when you join, but look at the track record of the military actually giving a shit about its own soldiers. You get injured, you get the good old rim job of fighting for medication just like HMOs. You get poisoned or exposed to toxins or agents, good luck getting anyone to help you after the war. You sign up to serve your country, and yes that means whenever they call you, but you do have a right to choose between serving or doing jail time. i dont know about desertion, but nobody wants you in your unit after youve made it obvious you arent willing to fight for the cause. You going to mow down a group of women and children just becuause your seargent or Lt tell you to? you going to take that truck and humvee 45 miles to a checkpoint w/o a convoy? like someone else said, its their loss. what is the point of spending millions of dollars training these people if you send them in combat with shitty equiptment, divided support from home, an unclear and possibly fraudulent reason for going to war in the first place, and rampant war profiteering. The war on terrorism is in Afghanistan, not Iraq. I bet these people wouldnt have deserted if they were assigned there instead. We have orders in our lives to do, but just because you are in the military, it doesnt mean you have to go against your convictions. take the penalty and move on with your life.

Either do your duty, or shut up and die.

Im not happy they are deserting, im offended why people instantly call them cowards and traitors when half of the people in this country dont support the war. The article said they tried to get reassigned out of Iraq (though I dont know if they req Afghanistan) but they were turned down. They also apparently lost their application for concientous (sp?) objection status. They had a choice between running to Canada or doing time. I dont know what I would have done, but they were in a tough spot. This war is fucked, guys, people are having their tours extended w/o an end in sight and they are being sent off on some crusade w/o a real clear objective other than to police a country we fucked up. The point of my rant is simply to not immediately call them cowards, pussies and traitors.

These men shouldn't be looked up to. Deserting is not the answer for everything (well, even though it probably is biggrin: ). |
yes im not saying theyre heroes or that they should be looked up to, just ffs guys, take a break to think before you start the flaming.

These 5,500 are just following the example set by their current Commander in Chief; he didn't want to go to Vietnam, they don't want to go to Iraq. What's the problem here? Is Bush a coward too?

chill everyone, its not worth fighting over for the 1000th time. tho i would like nothing more than to be a pilot of an F-16, 18 or whatever. been my dream for over 10 years to be a fighter pilot. |
1. The guy served in Afghanistan, yet doesn't want to serve in Iraq. So we can eliminate the fact that he is not a coward. For one.
2. Those were horrible comparisons to make Mr. Gay Fuck. On one hand you have to people using their morals to let people die, while on this case you have a man using his morals properly to not go and kill people in the interests of brainwashed conservatives. 3. What do you find patriotic ? A man standing up for true American values and morality ? Or a guy who will just go where he is told, do something against his will, then live knowing what he did was wrong. ? This war is not for the good of the nation if you hadn't noticed. It has only torn it apart, gotten thousands killed, and ruined foreign relations. While pissing off thousands of muslims world wide, thus making them now more likely to become radical. 4. I take you telling us to get a life with a bit of disbeleif. For One, I bust my ass off working 10 hours a day, as a night shift manager,(Which I busted my ass off to get) I get home, change, go work out get home sleep, then I do it over again for most of the week. I get one day off, and on that day, I get what little time I have to hang out with some freinds. I work 6 to 7 days a week to pay for college. So you telling me all this bullshit, just demonstrates how much of an arrogant asshole you are. I don't know if it was the underprivileged childhood which makes you think you have the right to tell people the shit you do....., but you should stop, reevaluate yourself and start thinking in a different manner. It sickens the shit out of me. hake:. |

Correct me if I'm wrong, but when you take the Oath and are sworn in, you serve your country unconditionally.
If you get called, you go. No question. You signed up for it, after all. If you didn't want to make the commitment, you shoulda got an office job like me. I knew LONG ago that I was too much of a pansy to join the military. Otherwise, tighten your chinstrap and get going. |
I know, sorry bout that. Always have had horrible grammer. I fixed it up a little bit.

Even so, if he was so patriotic why didn't he sign up for the "real deal" and get his ass shipped out to Vietnam? If he wanted to go he could have, but he didn't. PS: Duke, I love you. |

My problem is not with people not wanting to go, it is with tem running away, that is all. +1! |
