Ant Lion Troopers!
 

Its an awesome new single player map. You are a combine soldier and with your team you have to defend this area in the middle of a desert with lots of spawning Ant Lions. Kind of like the scene from Starship troopers. Its really fun and here it is

np. its pretty hard and it gets more intense as your teammates die. Try to keep that machine gunner in the front alive.

Played it earlier, its more fun if you spawn a gravity gun and run about with one of those turrets hovering in front of you. biggrin:

I just picked on up and carried it around. Worked the same and thats how i beat it.

THAT OWULD BE AWESOME IF IT WAS MP.

Specs? Hl2 is more forgiving on pc's than people assume.

this map is sweet... cant wait to see what is available in a few months from the SDK

Man that map rapes my CPU when the ant lions first start attacking. Went from 80FPS+ to 20 when the bodies started flying.

Im not sure what my frame rate is like on it, it does drop quite a bit when the shite hits the fan.

Sometimes the game will completely freeze for a few seconds then get back into it, but its still fun.

Lowest mine goes is like 20 odds, at 1280x1024 4xfsaa 8xaniso, near the end when the gunships come in, im outside running about with a load of bodies laying on the ground.

that looks awesome, too bad i dont have HL2.

Actually with some more ram the game would run on that setup, obviously not looking amazing but it'd run.

Yeah, 288 cause I had 256 and there was this computer at my school just sittin in a back room and gathering dust, so I "borrowed" its 32 megs of ram rock:

Good shots. Im having so much fun with this map. I wish their were more like it.

me too. I would really like to see custom maps like there are in mohaa, but as single player like this antlion map.

I wonder what difficulty it was set on in the game.

how do i play it?

download it, follow the install instructions in the post that has the DL links. Then when your in game use the map command and it should be the first map in the list.

IE: Just type in the console

Map (space) and it should auto complete the line. If not just hit "A" and it should auto complete the file name.
