Ok i need your help, im looking to buy a new gfx card, since i know some of you out there get a kick outta this kinda stuff im looking for your opinions, im looking for something in the 0-250$ range, nothing too too expensive, i have browesed neweegg and shit like that but thats all mumbo jumbo to me, i dont care what make, ATI or whatever, what say ze?

you could get a 9800pro for that money they are a very good card

^^ 9800 Pro, looks to be the best for that price range.

nVidia 6600GT's are supposed to give good bang for the buck.

i type in on newegg searce, radeon 9800 pro, and like 50 things come up all saying ati 9800 and they all cost diffrent prices

Never buy a 9600. Take it from someone that's experienced one and cards of a lower model, and is now using a 9800pro.

I had a 9600xt, It wasn't bad til' it shat out. Now I have to used my back-up fx5400 until I get an upgrade.

you can get 6800LE for around 230$ its a good card.

I just got a 9800pro XT with 256 megs of memory. But i will have to wait until i get the computer that it goes in to test it out.

word from the wise on the 9800 pro ... if youre not water cooling get a leet vid card cooler cause that fucker will burn up... stock fan went out on mine too.

i think the G5 has 9 fans. so i dont think im at risk of anything burning up.

i had the stock cooler on my 9800 for over 6 months..the thing was fine. it could have been just your computer was overall really hot.

6600GT is the best band for your buck unless you can find a 9800 Pro for less than $150.

Ya those are nice...the new x800`s and 6*** series you dont need to change stock heat fans.....

Stock fans on the new series suck imo, i changed mine to this

if youre willing to spend some extra cash, get the GeForce 6800, it beats the 9800XT, and costs less. (267$ for the geforce, 312$ for the radeon)

The 6600gt or the 9800 pro.

But dont bother with the 256mb version of the 9800pro. It doesnt have enough memory bandwidth to use all 256mb of memory. No real advantage to the extra mem.
