Digital Cameras?
What is good, cheap digital camera? My cousin has a sweet one but it is like $500 bucks. I don't really want anything over $100. Any suggestions?
|
i'd rather spend the 500 bucks to get a good quailty camera.
Just try searching futureshop.ca or any other local electronic shops near your home. |
My camera is a...Minolta DiMage S414
Its 4.0 megapixels, and takes some pretty sharp pictures. We bought it around a year ago for $120 @ WolfCamera, but I bet the price went down since then, and plus its the holidays, and digital cameras are pretty hot. |
I don't want anything that can hold 500 pictures. Like 100 or so will be fine for me.
|
man you will not find a good camera for that price your looking for at least £150 (around $300) for anything half decent. But try looking at the january sales - they might have some good offers on!

You weren't making a joke...I got that. You ARE being an ass. Quit making stupid fucking posts or I'll lock your account up tighter than a frog's asshole.
Is that crystal clear? |
do frogs have assholes?
|
Very tight ones, apparently.

Umm... Sony Cybershot P-71/P-72. oOo:

I just spent 80 bucks on an olympus camera and it takes great quality pictures.

Funnily enough I too am looking for a digi camera, I'm pretty n00bish about it all I admit but whats the difference between memory cards, like, they come in 64-512mb yea? howm nay will 512 hold and can they be re-used, etc....
How many pixels should I go for, at least 4 million? obviously it depends on what you use it for but these things don't come cheap so I'd like to hit the nail on the head, any help appreciated loney: example: is this one any good? http://www.olympus.co.uk/consumer/29__- ... ations.htm |

Truthfully, I have a very low MB memory card (8MB or something) and when I take good photos I want to keep, I save them onto the computer, delete them off the memory card, and reuse it. The higher the megapixel, well, the more pixels you can see, so you'll get sharper, better looking photo's with higher megapixels. 1 megapixel is enough if your not serious about it, 10 megapixel's are for like professional photo-taker. 5 megapixels are right in between, and are what I'd recommend, as you dont want crappy pictures, but wouldnt care if you saw that shade of purple in the sunset or not. |
1 megapixel is enough if your not serious about it,[/quote:2bd4b]Uh no, I think my ass would take better quality pictures than that. Don't ever go for a 1 megapixel camera...that's a waste of money.
For you guys that know what you're talking about: I'm leaving the US in may for a trip and I wanted to have a camera for the experience. Would the sales after Christmas be a better deal than if I waited 3 or so months? |

Just a rough question but how many images can be saved onto a 64mb memory card, or even a 256mb card?
My sister is in Japan right now so hopefully I'll get her to buy one there for me, will be alot cheaper freak: |
On a 256mb Card I have gotten a ton of pictures onto it, around 250 perhaps? I have never taken the time to count.

Is there a certain brand I should be looking for? |
go to cnet.com and sort the cameras according to viewers ratings.

I just got one of these[/url:9a81e] for Christmas and I like it so far.
My only complaint is that it comes with only a 16mb memory stick for storage. oOo: Edit: Last time I checked they're about $30 cheaper if you buy it from circuitcity.com. |

As Kodak's bitch I'm going to have to recommend my baby, the DX7440:
http://www.kodak.com/eknec/PageQuerier. ... cale=en_US http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp ... pe=product I get to use it all the time and when I leave Kodak I'm going to steal it. |

my parents got me this for x-mas but i think they got it on sale at staples or circuit city the day after thanksgiving for alot cheaper....its a great camera, they bought me a 128 mb memory stick for it though and its been great so far. |
Miyagi, here's a good camera fitting your situation. I'd say you would only need a 256mb card, but 512 helps (alot). I bought two 512's since my camera takes pretty large pics.
