Pack up a rez file?
 

Ok how do I pack a rez file..? there was no read me with the program I downloaded.. annoy:

I was using makepack... but no read me came with it

is there a way to do it with pakscape?

dont use .rez just use pk3. .rez it what ea made to hide the fact its still the old quake engine.

pk3 still work and compress much better just use them as a rez is set up.

I tried a pk3 it didnt work... do you have to load it in the mod manager thing? I was trying them out in MP

If you are creating a "mod" that should overwrite PA content make sure it it either numerically or alphabetically falls after the name or number of existing pk3 ro rez files.

For example pak9.pk3 would overwite pak1-8.rez files.

You could also try zzz_Godsmacks_sound_mod.pk3

well I tried zzSounds.pk3 but that didnt work... I think I got the wrong files there is so much stuff that is not used in them .rez files... and I found some skd and skc files in there... whats that about.. does that mean I can still use skd sk c.. cuz that will make my mod alot easier

The only problem is, now when you add the .pk3 file to the main folder punkbuster won't let you play in pure online servers. So even if the mod you have isn't a cheat you still can't join half the online servers. You have to remove the file first and then join. Pain in the butt... spank:
