It doesnt have a 1 kilometer draw distance like FarCry. Therefore it fails at having "outdoor maps".

Doom 3 engine is perfectly capable of outdoor environments. People screamed the same shit about the quake 3 engine because back then it taxed the system like no other game, but its been used in a shitload of games with outdoor envoronments.

What people don't get is even in an "outdoor" environment its basically still "indoors". All it is, is a larger room with a skybox for the most part. Doom 3 engine is gonna be used in a load of games id reckon, source engine is plagued with bugs at the minute and ive yet to hear of the crytek engine being licensed out..probably never happen now since theyre owned by ea anyway.
