you sure you want me to say?

First PC -
Cost about $1,200 I think. Was back in 2002.
I upgraded it in summer of 2003 which was about another $1000.
Got rid of it summer of 04 and bought a totally new pc which was $3500 as a
graduation gift from my family.
Here and there I've spent money on upgrading all of my pc's. I've already put in another $500 into this one for the video card. Put in $600 a year or so ago for a lcd monitor. got a new keyboard and mouse late last year for about $120 total. put in a new 10000rpm drive which was $250. it was the raptor drive from western digital. i think thats about it.

Total: $7050

TonyMontana 01-21-2005 12:31 PM

First PC I bought by myself was a P200. Don't know how much I spent. It was a long time ago. I think it was $1700 in '98.

Next was a AMD 1600+ 1.4 which cost $1200 in '01.

Most recently is my AMD 64 3500+ 2.2 system which cost $2700 Sept. 04,

So thats $5600.

85 million dollars. My PC actually is so fast that the people in HL2 came to life. Gordon Freeman is a cool guy, even the G-Man is kind of nice. It also has seven jumbo fans to keep it cool. The only bad thing is it runs a little loud.

I never understood how people could spend so much on a computer made by compaq or packard bell. My first PC that was my own was a 486DX4 100 with 8MB of RAM in 1993-1994. I bought it at a computer show for like $1000.00 (even back then I knew not to buy retail).

I think my first upgrade was a Diamond Monster 3d video card with 4MB of RAM on it, for like $200.00!!

My first actual computer was a Tandy 3 Color that I had during the 80's thanks to my mother being a computer geek in the military.

I'm only 23 yet I've had computers in the household my whole life, now that I think about it I don't remember really not having a computer. Which is unusual for people born in the late 70's, early 80's.

geRV 01-21-2005 02:36 PM

Packard bell was my first pc, basically bought that took it apart and learned how to make em, never again for one of those pieces of shit.
