Creatine?

For those who work out and know about Creatine, the nutritional supplement thats supposed improve muscle growth, do you suggest using it. Ive been working out for awhile now and havent seen any drastic results. Me and a friend are considering using Creatine to help. My friend knows people that have used it and have seen improvements. Anybody here know anything about it? Possibly Arkan or you other strong blotes im sure have heard things about it.

guarnere 02-08-2005 09:56 PM

Muscles... annoy:

Bean 2 02-08-2005 09:59 PM

i need them.

Arkan 02-08-2005 10:08 PM

Creatine will give you more energy enabling you to do a harder workout. What you need for adding mass is protein. Whey protein is what i would recommend. If you take creatine, only do it for a few months, then give your body a break. The protein you can keep taking.

guarnere 02-08-2005 10:08 PM

Nah...muscles are gross.

Arkan 02-08-2005 10:11 PM

Bean.....forgot to ask your age. If you're still in the "growing stage", i would recommend against taking creatine. I would just stick to whey protein. The whole secret to putting on mass is diet. You need to be able to have 6 meals a day and taking protein also. Diet, along with lifting is the secret.

Yep, this is very important. Creatine's supposed to be quite hard going on the old liver and kidneys.

Bean 2 02-08-2005 10:18 PM

im 18 and ill be 19 in June. So i should get Whey protein to gain mass. I read somewhere that Creatine is supposed to also supposed to give the illusion of bigger muscles but its only because it fills you up with water?

Jin-Roh 02-08-2005 10:44 PM

You are pathetic! Do some hardcore work-outs. Like running 4 miles while carrying a 135lb log. Wrestle 12 midgets at once. Lift weights more and longer. Here is a good one: run 100 meters, get on the bench-press and do 30 repitions, run 100 meters, get on the bench-press and do 30 repitions, run 100 meters, get on the bench-press and do 30 repitions, run 100 meters, get on the bench-press and do 30 repitions, run 100 meters, get on the bench-press and do 30 repitions, run 100 meters, get on the bench-press and do 30 repitions. Do that a few times. I had to do it six times, but each time adding more weight (starting from only like 20lbs => 60lbs [Yes, I am not that strong]). Watch Rocky, that should help you get some ideas.

Also, I read somewhere that when you "dream" about lifting weights, your muscles contract just slightly or something and yeah, you gain ... something.

sounds like bs

HeadUp 02-09-2005 12:02 AM

jin-roh......hake: thats a good way to pass out

i agree with arkan, its all about diet and how you work out

i personally dont recommend taking creatine because it also adds water to your muscles, and if you use it for a while then stop lifting later down the line it all turns to flabby shit fast which will take a while to get rid of

i usually do pecs, lats, bis, tris, and some shoulders, etc. for 45 mins or so and 5-7mins of straight crunches, then i bring food back to my dorms and eat then about 15-30 mins after lifting (this is the best time to eat, also if you eat before lifting wait 30 for the blood to leave your stomache or you wont accomplish anything)

if youre looking for good sources of protein, as arkan said whey is good, protein shakes are good if you can make em right...if not go for turkey, chicken or tuna, even a little bit of carbs for energy-- i usually either go for a sub or a burrito.......

I would suggest realising that muscles dont grow overnight and that months of hard work will be required. Eat right and do your work outs properly and dont expect "drastic" results.

Fuck i lifted for 3 straight months didnt see drastic results, just results.

Short Hand 02-09-2005 06:37 AM

Steroids, 8 week cycle (with recovery kit) anabolics with needles. 800 $ on special pm me for details. Gaurentee 100 pounds on your bench and 25 pounds of mass. biggrin:

Duke_of_Ray 02-09-2005 07:22 AM

Why not just do a natural workout? All on your own, and NAKED.

Alax54 02-09-2005 07:24 AM

Some decent creatine will give you mass and strength gains. However, you need to take into consideration that creatine will cause your body to retain water (which accounts for a majority of the actual mass put on.)

I suggest going to a site like http://1fast400.com instead of blowing your money on some overpriced and no good GNC supplement. Swole V2 and Sans V12 both gave me great results.

Good luck!

I was in your situation about 2 years ago towards the end of my junior year in high school I had been lifting since the begining of the year and had got cutter but not bigger and hadn't made any signifigant muscle gain. The secret like what has already been stated is your diet. Get on a good multi vitaman, i recomend gnc mega men, also you have to increase your protien intake which means trying to eat 6 small meals a day and taking protien. I usually took liquid amino acids about an hour before workout, about an hour after workout i'd take protien, and before i went to sleep i'd take protien. But if you are like me and wanted to see real results, I'd recomend getting on NO2. Read up about NO2 here: http://www.getno2.com/ its pretty expensive but it works, after 2 21 day cycles (The bottles last 21 days) you will be seeing serious results. Taking NO2, protien, and having the right diet and most importantly a good workout routine will enable you to make signifigant gains. But now that I'm at the citadel now I can't afford 60 bucks a month for no2 so i'm not on it anymore, once i'm finished with knob year though I plan on getting back on it, trust me it works, it may be a little expensive but if you wanna get ripped its worth it.

Alax54 02-09-2005 02:06 PM

N02 did nothing for me...it reacts differently with different people.

Short Hand 02-09-2005 02:32 PM

just take the easy way out, steroids. beer: rock: biggrin: ed:

(Steroids shrinks your balls temporarily , since testosterone is being supercharged threw your body via the steroids, With a proper recovery kit, they come back to normal after the cycles end. AND your gains which are well god lol stay. Without the recovery kit, your balls can't generate testerone because of their degraded state. Recovery kits help you off. I am just giving the facts out about steroids, not endorsing their use. I was suggesting them as a joke in the first place. The whole "ball shrink thing" is the least of anyones concerns if you are on steroids. Mood swings, breast developement, impotence, cancer are all things which should be on your mind first. beer:

If I were you id do it the old fashoned natural way. As a bunch of people have stated already eat 6 times a day. What I do is some hard boiled eggs for breakfast 2-3 times a week(more than that is bad for you), I drink a shitload of fat free milk(whenever Im thirsty) cuz it has a hell of a lot of protien, basically eat meals that give you energy, and also provide protien like some sushi, sandwhich, beans, nonfatty meat, none of the greasy burgers, pizza's, tocao's and such. Id try that first, and if you dont get results from that, then Id go with artificial way/supplements/watever. Also, a common mistake people tend to do is excercise the same part of their body every day. What you should do is alternate upper body one day, lower body the next day, to give your muscles time to regrow. And thats about all I have to say to you, so good luck rock:

02-09-2005 03:40 PM

also, if you only bench, dont expect to have huge huge bicepts, it will tone your tricepts and work your shoulders/chest. i suggest benching, curling with dumbells, and squatting. Dont curl with a barbel, because one hand compensates for the other, and gets more of a workout. Also, do the incline, and work on your lats/hams too. I took creatine for a few months, and it didnt help me much, just toned my bi's and tri's.

Pyro 02-09-2005 03:41 PM

have fun.

Short Hand 02-09-2005 03:42 PM

Can you do abs everyday? Its kind of hard to eat 6 meals a day at college though. Theres like no time to eat especially in the morning.

I walk three miles a day, do 90 sit-ups and 90 push-ups a day, plus 10 "hop-ups" (copied the work-out from Full Metal Jacket...You drop down, as in a push-up position, hop up, then drop down again..) and have the healthiest food you can imagine, because the thing is..its all I have. I dont have chips or soda...
.....and I've only lost 3 pounds since the beginning of the school-year, and have only obtained a 1/6 pack.. God damn body.

thats not that much. If you wanna lose weight, you should probably be running those three miles. and dont just do 90 sit/push ups in a row which is what it sounds like your doing. Do a set of 10-15 and do a lot of sets. And when your doing sit ups, try doing different types of crunches to work out all the parts of your abdominal region. Try to work out for at least an hour if you can.

Running: I cant run with my damn heavy backpack on. I always wear a sweater, to make me sweat, even if its hot out. (BTW . I drink water while doing it, so Im not dehydrating myself)

Push-ups and pull-ups: Thats exactly what I do. I do 30 in a row, then relax and hour or two, do another 30, then another. Not quite what you're thinking, though...

[DAS REICH] Blitz 02-09-2005 05:44 PM
