it allows you to "convert" winamp skins to wmp format ... pretty awesome. i usually just install winamp but havent gotten around to it since the last format so ive been using wmplayer ... heres a screen of one of the skins im using.

Really dont see whats the point of alternative media players....its really the music that counts. I use WMP.

for some reason WMP wouldnt open alot of files i had but winamp could... so it wasnt too hard to switch over

Yeah, only keep WMP because it converts CDA's to mp3's free, without the 14.95 WinAMP asks for.

winamp asks for money? didnt know that. doesnt WMP convert them to wma though? not mp3

Yup, its right there:
http://winamp.com/player/

WMP can convert to mp3, too. Right click on an empty space, go to Tools, Options, then Ripping, and you have the choice of a whole bunch of different media types.

cool. ill stick with winamp though. hasnt let me down yet.
