World War 2 has begun, you are a 19 year boy, you have been asked to go over seas and defend your country by a local army recruiter. Would you be one of the first to set foot on the battle feild?
Just wondering what you guys would do, i personally would have gone to war, i personally would rather die defending my country than dying of old age, sounds kinda corny but thats just me.

But the question is, would you guys go?

id go in a heart beat. id probably join the airborne. that or be a pilot

if i had nothing else going for me as in no job, etc. I wouldn't even have to think about it.

yea, i would. either airforce or army if already drafted.

that was a justified reason for a war, i'd enlist. be scared shitless (goes without saying) but i'd go.

Not gonna pretend to be a hardass but i'd go too.

I'd go, no question....and of course, I'd be pooping myself...

I'd go join the airforce without second thoughts, but I, aswell, would be scared as f*ck of whats coming up.

Of course I would have gone. Imagine how fun Second World War would have been for a soldier....

Hell yeah, be an infantry guy out in the field..

i would have tried to sneak into the army early like at 17 instead of 18... just like my grandpa tried to do. He got busted and waited a year and got in after the war ended

AFTER the war, they were, and they got all the german girls minus the blooding fighting. thats why mike powell suked anus, he ran away after blowing up the machine gun factory, and never got laid by a german.

Why do SOO many games end with you running out of a factory/facility type place thats coming down around ur ears? MOHAA, Halo, JKIII, I was afriad HL2 would have that, too.

The lead up from 33 to 39 would have been so great that most people of age would have gone to war at the time. There would have been reports from Germany often for those 6 years after Hitler took power until he invaded Poland so people would be raring to go by the time war came. And that was the case. Recruiters were packed when war was declared in Canada. I'm sure most able bodied people were trying to go.

1/10 Canadians served over seas during that time. That is a huge number.

i don't think the army would let me in due to my back issues, but i woulda went to WWII in a heartbeat...

My grandfather did the same thing but actually got in forged his birth certificate and was sent to the pacific theater as a radio man. Then went to work for Ratheon as a missile technician biggrin:

Im just signed up for the Selective Service, so if they have the draft, my ASVAB score is gunna screw me over though, got a 99/99. theyll love me come time for draft.

I'd fight, but I wouldn't be part of any organized military.

Just because i like war games doesnt mean i want to go out and shoot at iraqis as a US Marine....though that wouldnt be a bad idea hellfire: More the merrier

World War 2 ? yes. Korea ? Dont Know, Vietnam ? MIght hope the fence, most likely I would not though. becasue one thing I know is if I don't go someone else will be forced to go in my stead.
