Looks really interesting. I gotta watch it and great timing as well cause I'm doing a course on Nazi Germany and Hitler. Excellent.

any of you guys read mein kempf by adolf hitler?

I heard that is the wacko shit of books..

I read it. Dont bother. Almost zero factual basis. Youd be better off reading a critical book about it.

Read a book on the subject called "inside hitlers bunker, last days of the third reich" by joachim fest. Really intreresting book, lot of things i didn't know such as hitler commanding armies that didn't exist but none of his generals had the nerve to tell him. On the news of the us president dieing it was supposodly written in the stars that this was going to happen, hitler and his generals believed the war was going to turn because of this.

That trailer seems to have the story of that book i read down pretty well, even down to his arm shaking when he took of his glasses and him throwing the coloured pencils down on the table.

anyone read Hitler's Second Book? it was published in 2000.

It looks like a good watch, but will it be sub textd ? I don't understand any german really

Maybe he should read it for himself and make up his own mind instead of reading about what someone else thinks of it. oOo:

We're talking about the version on amazon which is german, not even sure if an english subtitled version is out yet and id prefer to get it sooner than later.

Why would it raise protests? Just shows what happened with him yelling at his generals among other things. The guy really lost the plot in the end, he was promising "sufficient tanks and troops" to defend berlin. They had nowhere near enough troops and barely any weapons, giving orders to armed divisions that didn't even exist anymore = stupid:

People protests about everything and anything. You'd think Im just making this up, but god, its the truth. He was a Nazi, doesnt matter what the movie was about, he was a Nazi, and some Jewish minority out there isnt gonna want anything to do with Nazi's in their movie theatre.

Documentry in movie fashion id say. Most of the scenes from the trailer i recognise just by reading that book i have.

If you guys hear of a version with English subtitles, let me know.

I majored in German in college for a bit, but was never able to finish it. I've learned so much more from watching subtitled movies. You get to hear more conversational and realistic language and (assuming the translations are accurate) you understand the meanings of the phrases better than trying to translate it yourself.

Shouldn't this be moved to the History section?
