I drive auto and stick. I leanred on and still favor stick shift. And I have driven a 6 speed mazda miata. That was one of the funnest 30 minutes of my life.
|
never tried manual (except on a bike) but would love to
|

....was thinking the same thing. I drive both. Manual is more fun in the "cruise mobile" |
I've owned 2 cars, both manual.
4-speed Toyota Tercel 5-speed Dodge Daytona |
I drive an automatic.
I've driven some of my friends manual's (a wrangler and a bimmer 323is) but havent really perfected them too well. My family owns all autos rolleyes: |
According to Google Images ( happy: ) this is and autocoach...

the civic si is way underpowered my friend
|
Stick shift is for the kiddies, until you reach your mid-life crisis and spring for the Boxster. Seriously, commuting in rush hour with a stick sucks. Unless I get a high performance sports car, I'll be driving the automatic.
|
the only thing ive driven manual is our motorcycle and its somewhat of a bitch if you ride in shorts (which youre not supposed to)
|
I drive an automatic grand am.
Ive only driven Golfs which are standard, but im still pretty much learning how to drive standard. Ive driven a Mazda 3 that was like automatic and manuel or you get the choice...it was weird. |

My cars are 5 speeds but my moms car is an auto. I like both equally. Its nice to just sit with a coffe in one hand and the wheel in the other and navigate around town with the auto but flying trough a windy road once im out of the city makes me want the 5 speed. Ninty9 I forgot that you had a Daytona. What year and engine does yours have? Iv got a lebaron GTS with a 2.2l turbo, kind of a cousin to your car.

Well, I DONT, but my parents drive on Automatic.
Me, on the other hand, I prefer to walk with right foot first before left. |

Yeah, Daytona/Laser/Lebaron are all pretty much the same, they just differ in the way they look. Unfortunatley my Daytona is only a 2.5L with no turbo. |
my first car a 1991 baby blue hatchback ford escort was a stick.
after that auto > all |
Auto is all I like to drive. The stick is just a pain to me, rather just put it in drive and hammer down.
|
I can drive stick easily, hardest part is stoppin on a hill. fun as hell

5 Speed Chevy Cavalier. 96. Hoping to trade her in for a 2000-2001 z24. The 150 to 155hp 2.4l DOHC felt like a great drive, something with a good amount of power and good economy.

That civic is a very fast machine next to my montero. It takes me abotu 20 seconds to get to 60 and I can hit the 1/4 in about half a minute. but once I get that thing going 80 its hard to stop biggrin: |
Your a off roader though. fuck speed.
|
I drive a 6 speed. cool:
|
rofl i didnt know my car was auditioning to be in 'fast and the furious 3 ricer chav heaven'
listen new guy, i didnt spend 18 grand on a car based soley on what it does in a quarter mile. i know thats hard for you to understand when your age 14-17 judging on your posts....when all you think about is racing and engine size. it gets 32mpg on the highway and 29 in the city. i can fill this tank up for less than 20 dollars. my old car took premium and had a 14 gallon tank. it would cost over 30 dollars to fill. oh, and i am quite comfortable with my penis size...the women i have been with havent complained. therefore i dont need some uber fucking ricer modified air intake coffee can muffler side skirt underglow light kit fag car. its stock, and it owns...and you can stfu. thanks btw, tell me what you drive and tell me you paid for your own new car. whats that? oh, right. kthxbai nag: |
1. I am 18 almost 19.
2. I paid fully for my car, the insane insurance rates, and the fantastic gas mileage. 3. I like civics. 4. I enjoy cars. |
Civics are gay.

YOU were the one praising a civic si's performance you douche cunt. and you based my age very poorly might i add! also dont worry about what car i drive, it is beyond this discussion mazel tov[/quote:ec2e1] You amuse me like a clown. stupid: |
Test drove an Si looking for a good car once... that was the slowest piece of shit I ever did drive, and incredibly uncomfortable with the damn shifter sticking out of where my radio should be. Can't rest your arm anywhere and crap.
Anyways, hate automatics, except for really slow city driving which just gets tedious. Just bought a brand new Neon SRT-4 last week. Of course blows the Si out of the water for 3 grand more. Hell blows most cars twice the price out of the water. The interior is rather noisy though... have to get used to it. |
SRT-4? happy: Butseks? my mom has a neon and I love it. I can't even imagine how much fun an SRT-4 would be. Your my hero. rock:
|
Im not just an offroader, I did recently purchase a Honda CRX for the gas milage it gets. IF gas was $1 then it would cost me $10 to fill the tank and I can go 300ish miles on that. where as in the montero I would fill the tank at $25(at $1/gal.) and get maybe 300. no it is not the fastest car but I wasnt trying to get the fastest. Plus it cost me $750 and I can still hit 120mph pretty easily

When its all said and done, its still a turd. spank: |
Civics < *.*
Best thing I've ever seen in my life was an older guy who owned a body shop who had taken a 1990-91 Volvo station wagon and gutted it without changing the exterior (aka a sleeper). He took it down to the Boulevard (Mills knows this place) and made all the Civic queers look like idiots when they tried to race him. He was probably packing a V10-V12 in that thing by the sound of it. Was hilarious to see those retards in '95 hatchbacks blowing NO2 trying to keep up. |
