£336 for a high end card in our money is pretty cheap actually, usually theyre nearer the £400 mark, overclockers uk sell a pci-e 6800ultra for £440. ed:

My first proper vid card was a voodoo 3 2000 pci, before that i had some integrated pos. Went out and bought the voodoo plugged it in, beforehand most games would just chug along but with this they were running smooth as silk. Everything after that just seems kinda "meh" to me, you expect speed and visual upgrades every year but nothing compares to when i first plonked the voodoo in. rock:

i totaly know how you feel, there was nothing like putting in that first card, the way everything looked just blew me away, now when ever i put in a new card i dont get that same feeling

Hell yeah. I remember my first upgrade which was also a Voodoo 3. I was using a 2mb onboard s3 Diamondback before that, Quake 2 and Unreal ran like a dream.

Unreal and unreal tourney in glide mode were fun as shit, i remember having those when i had 56k dial up, tried playing them online, bought quake 3 and i was stuck using bots cause my ping was always so high. oOo: First time i actually connected to a server i near shit myself, only to find it was full of bots annoy:
