Modern version of Hamlet.

Anybody know where I can find a modern version of Hamlet? I looked on amazon, but had little luck. I need a full version, we are reading the stupid story in english right now, and it might as well be in German, I can't understand half that old style of speaking. I shalt gievth thy sir that might help me in this trouble some most dusty karma points.

I don't like any of Shakespear. Call me an idiot. It just never caught my interest, but i do give him all the credit and respect what he did.

Hamlet in a nutshell

Claudius kills Hamlets father
Hamlet sees his fathers ghost
Ghost tell hamlet about the murder
Hamlet gets pissed
Hamlet plays stupid to get Claudius to admit to the murder
Hamlet writes a play to re-enact the murder and has it done by traveling bards
Makes Claudius basicly confess (confesses to God so Hamlet cant kill him since the belief is he with go to Heaven)
Hamlets love Ophelia goes insane and commits suicide
Her Brother, Laertes get pissed off, consults Claudius and Challenges Hamlet to a duel with a poisoned sword
The Duel
RND 1 nothing happens Claudius poisons wine ment for Hamlet, but hamlets mother, Queen Gertrude Who married Claudius 3 months after her husband was murdered, drinks it and dies during RND 2
RND 2 nothing happens Gertrude dies from poison
RND 3 Laertes scratches Hamlet with poisoned sword -> Hamlet runs him through -> Confesses to Hamlet and God about the poison and Claudius's hand in it and Gertrude's Death -> Hamlet now dieing runs Claudius through before he can confess.
They All Die
The End

Wont help him since the movie is reproduced word for word from the text.

The final duel is pretty sweet though -

this reminds, me, I need a modern bible. all this "and thee spake unto the personage, that thou hast theee....." shit pisses me off.

Duke_of_Ray 03-21-2005 12:40 PM

Thanks, I need to get that. To me shakespeare sucks, and even sucks worse because of the crappy language. I wish English teacher would teach something interesting. annoy:
