i loved the sony controllers. pure simplicity, awesome to handle, mine have always been reliable.
after being stepped on and dropped multiple times, i am still using the same controller i got with my PS2 about 2 years ago
i've always loved playstation controllers
PS2 > Xbox > Gamecube
Playstation has by far the best controller of those systems. |
Yeah the snes controller pretty much does > all of those. hake:
yeah, Snes is my favourite.
xbox live> all other consoles
the controllers work (except for the PS1 dual shock, since the rumbling effect moves the chips in the controller around), but its the systems (especially PS2) which are pure crap. I have gone through 4 PS2's since the day the system came out. And all of them have "disc read errors" due to the DVD reader being moved out of place.
I ahven't ever had a problem with a PS1 or PS2. I know of my friend who had trouble with his Xbox, but that's about it.

The original PS1 controller (WITHOUT dualshock) > All game controllers ever.
Just about any controller is better than that n64 one... But I guess if you have 3 hands it works out perfectly for you.
I like SONY....so suck it

....Because all games on the N64 required use of both the gamepad AND the thumbstick. rolleyes: Have you even played a N64? I personally rate the controller pretty much second only too the PS1's. |
I have had my ps2 for 4 years and have never EVER had a problem.
I bet half these fucks got pissed at some game and yanked the controller, pulling the ps2 off the entertainment center and crashing it to the ground. hake: I hardlly play console games anymore, save football, boxing, hell I have nba2k5 which I bought the day it came out, and have never even opened it yet. Thats how disinterested I am in console gaming. |

sorry, thought you were. cool: I've had mine since the debut of playstation 2. The only problem i've had were those disc read errors; which is easily fixed by removing a few covers and wiping dust off the lazer. Took me 10 minutes. Gave me a good chance to clean everything out. |
still ....
PC> all rock: end- biggrin: |
The problem with the ps2's optical drives can be summed up in two words
"cheap components" Its no secret that companies will make use of some cheaper parts in their consoles. Ms had some problems with the xbox hard drive and dvd drive early on, sony had problems with the ps2 dvd drive. The ps2 problem is more pronounced though because the exact same problem was in the ps1, anyone else recall having to tilt their console to one side etc to get games to load? I sure as hell do as do plenty of others. |
I like to hold sony playstation controlers on my nuts when they vibrate
I don't know...but people make it seem like allt he products by sony break down every day,e specially PS2s...when in like what 3 or 4 years mine hasn't ever had a problem.
