Maplegyver 03-26-2005 03:17 PM

maybe they will go bankrupt dance:

anti 03-26-2005 03:40 PM

i loved the sony controllers. pure simplicity, awesome to handle, mine have always been reliable.

TonyMontana 03-26-2005 04:10 PM

after being stepped on and dropped multiple times, i am still using the same controller i got with my PS2 about 2 years ago

strvs 03-26-2005 04:23 PM

i've always loved playstation controllers

Pyro 03-26-2005 04:24 PM

PS2 > Xbox > Gamecube

Playstation has by far the best controller of those systems.

geRV 03-26-2005 04:32 PM

Yeah the snes controller pretty much does > all of those. hake:

Pyro 03-26-2005 04:41 PM

yeah, Snes is my favourite.

Eames 03-26-2005 05:34 PM

xbox live> all other consoles

[DAS REICH] Blitz 03-26-2005 05:35 PM

the controllers work (except for the PS1 dual shock, since the rumbling effect moves the chips in the controller around), but its the systems (especially PS2) which are pure crap. I have gone through 4 PS2's since the day the system came out. And all of them have "disc read errors" due to the DVD reader being moved out of place.

Pyro 03-26-2005 05:37 PM

I ahven't ever had a problem with a PS1 or PS2. I know of my friend who had trouble with his Xbox, but that's about it.

yes gerv we know the ps2 controlelr is a rip off of the snes controller, you've made it obvious in other threads. but what does it matter? it still owns all imo. cool:

geRV 03-26-2005 05:40 PM

Wasn't saying it was. plzdie:

how come none of this news is on IGN, but it is on a random "japan today" website?

elstatec 03-26-2005 06:13 PM

ps2 blows anyway.

Tripper 03-26-2005 07:30 PM

The original PS1 controller (WITHOUT dualshock) > All game controllers ever.

imported_Grim_Reaper 03-26-2005 07:35 PM

Just about any controller is better than that n64 one... But I guess if you have 3 hands it works out perfectly for you.

Coleman 03-26-2005 07:39 PM

I like SONY....so suck it

Yup. In the time it takes to beat one of their 2 hour games, you would need to replace your PS2 thirteen times because of disc read errors and the like.

....Because all games on the N64 required use of both the gamepad AND the thumbstick. rolleyes:

Have you even played a N64? I personally rate the controller pretty much second only too the PS1's.

Nyck 03-27-2005 12:16 AM

I have had my ps2 for 4 years and have never EVER had a problem.

I bet half these fucks got pissed at some game and yanked the controller, pulling the ps2 off the entertainment center and crashing it to the ground.

hake:

I hardlly play console games anymore, save football, boxing, hell I have nba2k5 which I bought the day it came out, and have never even opened it yet. Thats how disinterested I am in console gaming.

I've had mine since the debut of playstation 2. The only problem i've had were those disc read errors; which is easily fixed by removing a few covers and wiping dust off the lazer. Took me 10 minutes. Gave me a good chance to clean everything out.

Swill 03-27-2005 06:41 AM

still ....

PC> all rock:

end- biggrin:

geRV 03-27-2005 09:02 AM

The problem with the ps2's optical drives can be summed up in two words

"cheap components"

Its no secret that companies will make use of some cheaper parts in their consoles. Ms had some problems with the xbox hard drive and dvd drive early on, sony had problems with the ps2 dvd drive. The ps2 problem is more pronounced though because the exact same problem was in the ps1, anyone else recall having to tilt their console to one side etc to get games to load? I sure as hell do as do plenty of others.

Jimmy Paterson 03-27-2005 11:24 AM

I like to hold sony playstation controlers on my nuts when they vibrate

Pyro 03-27-2005 12:25 PM

I don't know...but people make it seem like allt he products by sony break down every day,e specially PS2s...when in like what 3 or 4 years mine hasn't ever had a problem.
