SH,
How many people on this forum live in your town? eek: And if that is not your concern, then exactly how far are you willing to travel to get your $700 POS? P.S.: http://www.autotrader.com/ |
I asked for your input on beaters. NOT your beaters. die thkz.

That doesn't even make sence. Look, I'm not picking on you, I just don't think you are gonna have much luck looking for a used car here because very few of the guys here live within a few miles of each other. |

Can I make it any simpler for you. I need YOUR Advice on WHICH pos car I should BUY for the WINTER Zen. (if this is zen).
|
Well if you want advice on what kind of car to buy for less than $700, then I would offer this:
$700 + Actually runs, and has 4 wheels = Off to a damn good start. If it has a working heater, and is street legal I'd say buy it. Unless Canadians care less about thier cars than Americans do... doubtful, I'd say anything you can get at that price is a deal, regardless of make model and year. |
Was that so fucking hard to comprehend >?
-Yes their are plenty of beaters availible that have 4 wheels and run. NOw to narrow the search down a bit. |

buy a lawn mower... then take off the blades and blade guard... lift it 2 inches, and then you can put some nos on it or something... that should do fine.
|
I purchased a '73 Plymouth Duster from an old woman with only 83K miles on it. It has factory A/C and a rear window defroster. The heat cranks and i got it for a mere $750. Had the car for 3 years so far. Talk about a deal!!!

Get a pathfinder

^ Arkan has made the correct action by pressing the "Reply Button", Then typing out a response and hitting the "submit" button. congrats and thank you. Although I don't know if a 73 duster (is it RWD) would be a very easy drive in the wnter.
|
just get a old beat up pickup with 4WD, an old chevy would do fine, they last forever

you want some good beater that youll find for under 700 and will handle the northern winter go subaru. anything older than 85 will be 4wd or awd. ABS isnt a big problem cuz if you like it most subarus have it, but if you dont just unplug the fuse. an H or I 4 will be a good engine, reliable, durable and quiet. i drive an outback and it goes through 2 feet of the wet stuff like a truck. a good subaru shouldnt be hard to find so good luck
|
Just get some piece of shit like a Chevy Cavalier. That way if you crash in the snow, no big deal, after all its only a Cavalier.

honestly look for a dodge raider, or mitsubishi montero(same f'ing thing) You can some times find them for like $100 but they are great vehicles. 4wd the better ones have a v6.
