Battlfield Civil War
 

We all know about the battlefield games, so wouldnt it be cool if they made one bout the civil war? Think bout it, having choices between, the confederates and the union. For classes they could have like, infatryman, sharpshooter, marine, and dragoon/cavalry. Obviosuly there would be no air combat, but they could do sea combat, with people working the ship, and maneuvering to board each other, etc. For ground "vechicles," they could have horses, and u could man artillery, etc. And of course, hand to hand combat is essential, with bayonotes, sabers, and cutlasses. Ive always wanted to play a good civil war game.

then fire again. oh god teh action must be intense.

well just like real civil war engagements the core of the combat was in hand to hand. And of course, pistols, would pack a much higher rate of fire, at a close range. Horses would allow for people to close in fast but not to many of them to keep it balanced.

Battlefield's spotlight = Vehicles.

Civil War was tightly organized units in formation, if it did for some crazy reason come out, it would resemble a COD map with "RIFLES ONLY!!!!" people running around in circles trying to shoot eachother.

ya I know but it still takes 10 years to reload a rifle in 1776

the game is a mod from battlefield vietnam, insurrection 1776 or something.

Civil War games will probably only work in a RTS format, but if somebody could make it feasable in FPS, then I'm all for it.

it would be pretty cool but i dont think they will make a civil war game, i mean they dont want to start rivalry back up between north and south even tho its mild and just a game, plus ur just killing americans and alot of ppl would be pissed about that, which is retarded b/c i could care less b/c its not real and only hillbillys from alabama, kansas, georgia and such would like it

That sounds real fun (I wish more people played Battlefield PIRATES!)...god, just reanacting the huge battle in The Red Badge of Courage. Smoke covering the battlefield, constant waves of soldiers coming down, only muzzle flashes visible, trench warfare, screaming commanders..god, god, god, god, god..it sounds so good.

And the Tiger Tank would be replaced by a wheelbarror, which your team-mate pushes and you ride, firing. HAH HAH HAH HAH HAH HAH HAH.

I'd like to see a good WW1 FPS before I see a civil war one...It's certainly feasable too....Vickers, Maxim's etc...Largely the same bolt-actions as in WW2...
